Beware of pickup from Lagos Island, esp around the market. Those CBD guys go use you shine If you must, ask the person to meet at Oando marina (now NNPC). The person has to be there before you arrive cos even the boys at the station fit give you wahala. If you sense any issue, you better cancel Very importantly, many requests from the market na to carry load. I will ask, if yes I cancel jeje Eazilyfe: |

Kumuyiii:Bro Do you use Uber constantly? On sunday(yesterday) i calculated my trips and na total N750/km plus my quest money for the 10 trips i did. During the week i dey calcu N550/km I think what Uber does is give you trips like you are working for a company picking their customers to destination then your Total NGN per Km is average between those trips. Like i have said in my prev post. Some trips you will feel disgusted by the price then the next trip will compensate you and u sef go shock . Reason i average my daily income, i make sure i complete 10 trips daily (or complete the lowest quest) Dedicate 2-3days to test it and give feedback. I dont take long pickup trips sha. |

Eazilyfe:Pls where do u stay?u seems to get trips on Uber. I don't know when last I completed a quest on Uber. Request always so slow. U will wait tyre and once Indrive enter I'm gone. But I like Uber sha. |

Jegheter:Boss, i treat it like going to work daily ![]() If you stay on the mainland like me, In the morning around 5am-6am depends on when you decide to go out but i advice you start early. Set your destination trips to VI or Lekki Phase 1 with Bolt comfort because you have 5 destination trips daily. You can also target island trips on Indrive too but na mostly N270/km you go see if you dont mind but i dont take it sha. When you get to Ikoyi, Lekki or after Phase 1 target Lekki phase 2. Just dey shuttle btw phase 1-2 and Ajah. By 3-4pm set destination back to Mainland. Offices go don close for VI Dont get trapped or carried away with trips after phase 2, because if 5pm-6pm nack meet u for that side e go hard to see destination trips back to mainland except u use Indrive to get out. See how many trips i quickly completed in less than an hour. So basically you learn Traffic flows with Uber apps for example, in the morning people are navigating towards VI, IKOYI, LEKKI. In the evening people are navigating towards IKEJA, IYANA IPAJA, OSHODI, ILUPEJU etc Thats just what i studied so far and some other things i'm still learning from looking at the uber map radar ![]() On Uber you will on AC for riders if dem ask sha o, else dem go spoil your account with reports. Na lekki people dem too like comfort. Person dey go next street carry Uber something wey we dey trek for mainland, infact i don carry person cross road before seems like 1km trip dat day i jst dey laff dey look the babe for rear view mirror

Eazilyfe:Ok the pattern of working in d Island with Uber. I used to do this a while back. I know some drivers that still do and would only take mainland trips back only wen dey wanna close. Honestly I dislike all dose very short trips but be like na to like am ooo. Tanx alot for the insight really appreciate bro |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jegheter: 5:21am On Mar 24 |
Muhammadson2020:Actually cng smaller engine cars are the solution. If ur cost of production is reduced u won't complain about d selling price bro. If u had a 1.6L engine u can take 270naira/km trips and still be very profitable talkless of I creased amount . Yes parts are expensive but if u have the right tools u will make enough daily to recover cost of parts. No be everyday car dey spoil.Or you can be a driver that drives exclusively on premium. U will be patient and carefully select rides on indrive. Also bolt comfort must be ur friend. But u go dey very very patient The fares will eventually increase but not now. All these sacrifices people think was worthless will still speak later. Maybe in a year or two but till then we must adapt at least if na this bizness person still wan do We must be willing to change ooo abi how Dem dey talk am. The only thing constant........ ![]() |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jegheter: 6:48am On Mar 24 |
Guys I never knew this lagride jeeps had 1.5L engines Just met a guy using it and he even converted to cng. So his enjoying ooo. Said his had no issues with cng. 1 year plus using it Guy isn't even concerned about fuel. Minus cng sef 1.5L is perfect for d job. His also lucky his calculation for d car is 9m under d old order so he will soon finish paying. ![]() So while some are complaining some are smiling and happy with d job. The right tools is needed |

Eazilyfe:This doesn’t make uber better than indrive. Some of us here go on this short trips for 1k minimum per km. I can’t start my car for a 3k trip if it’s not above 1k per KM. If passenger can’t enter keke and prefers comfort, then they should be willing to pay for it. Only indrive can give you abnormal profit on short trips. I have carried one woman for 1.2km for 3k. And I even accepted because she was 300m away. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jegheter: 6:52am On Mar 24 |
Jamie90:It's not about Uber being better sha. It's just his way of working. I have worked like this severally in d past. Indrive is the best if you know how to use it to your benefit like d instance u stated. But iz patience |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Kumuyiii(m): 6:57am On Mar 24 |
Eazilyfe:Now pls show me how much uber collects, cus i do the same on indrive, commission is lower by half... Also, most times i even charge more, either for a detour or waiting but I'm sure i even exceed 600/km total in a week, as shown in the image. Problem i have with uber and bolt is the freaking commission bro.

Jegheter:I went to CNG refill stations at Jakande first gate and at Agege to observe how fast they dispense. It took 30 seconds to refill Keke cylinder and it cost 2,300. I inquired from the keke guys that has it and they said that I shouldn’t waste time to convert as CNG is readily available there. Though they start selling by 8 AM and close 7pm in all stations. |

So between Lagos and Abuja, which state is best for e-hailing business, in terms of profit making? |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Jamie90(m): 7:04am On Mar 24 |
Jegheter:Uber is consistent with their pricing and don’t really understand the Nigerian market. Indrive understands it better and when low lives a little busy in traffic, watch Indrive prices. Uber likes keeping a large chunk of money they charge passenger unlike Indrive. In another news, what exactly is happening with the numerous lane closures in the island. First Akpogbon bridge, second, costal road and then lekki epe express. I spent 4 hours from ogombo to Surulere. Map was directing me through idumota market so it will leave me stranded there. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 8:00am On Mar 24 |
Jegheter:The CNG will also go up. What happens then? The truth is Ehailing fares are too low. The App companies should realize this. There may be more trips but the overall take home is lower than if the fares Increase and d demand drops. Drivers still make more even with low patronage. So there is no reason to make fares this cheap even in the face of increased fuel price. Except that they want drivers to lock shop. This is d first time fuel will go up by double and prices will not change. It's crazy. The prices must go up. The barest minimum is that a 2.4litre petrol engine car must gross X4 his fuel money, When u deduct commission and fuel ur take home profit should be double ur fuel money. That's only when it makes economic sense. That way u can save for car maintenance. But currently u buy fuel of N30k and gross 60k after commission and fuel u are left with less than than half of the gross or nothing. Cos in some cases u use 10k fuel to complete a 10k trip. FUEL PRICE HAS DOUBLED, FARES MUST DOUBLE. There is no other way to say it. |

Jegheter:How many of such trips do u find in a day. All u people shouting Indrive is d best, indrive is d best...what is ur daily target? If ur daily profit target is from 50k above , u will not say Indrive is d best |

Jamie90:Ok boss, whatever works for you. For me Uber works for me perfect from Sane passengers to better communications and interactions. I didnt say Uber is better than Bolt or Indrive, we all know none is best we jst have all for different needs. So thats how i use those 3 apps together daily to get my desired trips May God bless our hustle ![]() |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Eazilyfe: 9:13am On Mar 24 |
Kumuyiii:Boss like i explained before. On uber pricing you just need to calculate your average NGN/KM at the end of the day or week. Some fares might surprise you and some might annoy you the next trip go balance am for you For example for a 9km trip you can get 9K dem fit comot the commission high because the rider is owing uber for time wasting in prev trip or they didnt pay complete, and for that same 9km trip sometimes dem fit pay you 12K base on hourly but rest in mind that your next trip might be shortchanged. Its jst something you study or work with. I hope you understand what i'm explaining |

Pearl1910:When they push a Nigerian to the wall, we will dig the wall, put matress, furnish it, put air-condition and hide inside rather than push back. Reason these birds of ill-omen government will never take us serious. We easily acclimatize to any condition. A time is coming, we will be considering Keke napep for ehailing to make profits. The recent improvement is a slightly higher demands, not improved fares. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 10:52am On Mar 24 |
SHOOPSYN:My brother, fare is poor. Instead of us to rally and go to Bolt and Uber office people are saying na to convert to CNG or buy electric vehicle. As if to install the CNG is free. Or to buy electric vehicle is chewing gum. People fail to realize that d smaller the engine of the car, the weaker it is. U can't compare Honda EOD engine with Hyundai Accent or Suzuki in terms of ruggedity. So under 2yrs d small engine or gear is dead and u buy another one. Is it still from the shitty prices? |
