A seagull that collapsed in a lower division Turkish football match was immediately given CPR by the players and was even checked by nearby medical staff. A freaking animal. Meanwhile in the NPFL, a collapsed player could not even get simple life saving measures. No CPR. Just splashes of water to the face. This life mehn. |

elyte89:Do you think many people want to see Nigerian progress football-wise? But for some, there will be nothing to criticise again when the team does well. I know some people who said that if Nigeria qualifies for the World Cup, it will make the NFF not sit up or improve, so they would rather see the team fail. That's how stupid they think, as they can only justify their destructive criticism when the team fails, see the Afcon, until after the game against Morocco, that's how some folks started calling the names of some players for not winning the Afcon. Yes, many are happy when we do well, but since 2013, when we won the AFCON, and I heard and saw many saying we were just lucky to dismiss all the efforts of the coach and players, that's when I knew many actually don't like to see the Eagles excel; it's what it is. We just like to nag, complain, and attack people, whether they are right or wrong. All those who accused Nigeria of trying to use the back door have been struggling to know where to stand on the CAF ruling in favour of Morocco And true, our sports journalists and bloggers in cahoots with our ex players are the greatest headache of our football, the NFF just panders to their whims! |

elyte89:Jamaica won't win anything. To me, the only place Congo erred was naming players who weren't cleared. How they knew they would be cleared before the tournament, no one knows. Now that is hindsight and Jamaica cannot reference that. |

I think David Okereke also scored in this game. This was a stacked U23 lineup. Overkill!!! Modified after rewatching: Omo, the K.Nwakali-Osimhen synergy ehn. Too bad we never saw it at the senior level. They cooked across 3 levels (U17, U20 and U23). BascoVanVeli: |

elyte89:The NFF is filled with clueless administrators and it's not surprising we've missed back to back world cup tournaments. They even failed to pay the fee needed to review the petition and you expect people to take them seriously. If Morocco had been in our position, it will still be the same result, the players had Congolese parents, were issued passports and cleared by FIFA. Tunisia complained against Matip and Choupo-Moting in 2010 and it was still thrown out. Let's focus on the Afcon qualifiers and next WC |

ChrisKels:It doesn’t feel like a World Cup that will truly capture the usual excitement. Beyond the FIFA verdict news many of us waited for, the euphoria seems to have faded. It’s not simply because the Super Eagles are not participating; rather, there is a general feeling that something isn’t quite right about this tournament. The energy, anticipation, and global unity that normally define a World Cup appear subdued. If things continue this way, this edition could be remembered as one of the least inspiring in recent times. More than football celebrations, the world seems to be longing for peace, stability, and moments that genuinely bring people together again.....maybe na only me dey feel that way . @Elyte @Supernerd @ other great minds in the house ... HOW DO YOU GUYS FEEL ? |

Throwback Thursday: Vincent Enyeama, 🇳🇬 G.O A.T. GK Do you know former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama still holds the record for the most clean sheets in a single Ligue 1 season? In 2013/14 season, he kept 21 clean sheets for Lille. He also kept 11 consecutive clean sheets, lasting 1,062 minutes 🇳🇬🧤 Note, it was also a 20-team ligue 1 and 38 games season. So na full package season. Lille finished 3rd on the table that season. https://x.com/i/status/2035999412774748272

I remember this period, because everytime lille played I will be looking at live scores hoping Enyeama doesn't concede. His 11 games consecutive çleansheets run made him second in all time league 1 consecutive cleansheet run. His later deputy and ríval goalkeeper in lille is now current french and AC Milan number one shot stopper mike maignan TheSuperNerd: |

Vincent Enyeama is Nigeria and Africa 🐐 goalkeeper of all time. Legendary player. I heard his son is a keeper at Lille youth academy. |

yinkeys:We beat Senegal 2x in the 2006 Afcon. Aside from 2002 Afcon we have never lost to Senegal in a competitive game. If we caught them in that final in Morocco We would have cained them. Only West Africa country that gives us hell is Ghana. |
