Bros it's simple

We have too much drivers on the road now, even 9-5 dey join us for this work. It's saturated and very competitive now than before. And these drivers get different motive and reason for this hustle, some just wan survive ,some dey HP and need to remit , some dey get sense while some nor get.

These apps know this and they are taking advantage of this, na to pray ,hustle get enough money and move on to another hustle
Drivers being much isn't the problem, the problem is with the too many apps we have offering same service. This too many apps is giving riders the chance to jump from 1 app to the other looking for cheap fare and once they see anyone that offers cheap fares, they use that app. Assuming we have just 1 app functioning, they won't have choice looking for cheap fare.

Guys, always RENEGOTIATE every trip! Make it a standard. I have been travelling recently (PH, Abuja, Akwa-ibom) and I can confirm that all the ride that we booked, every one of them was renegotiated! The price on the app is meaningless.
The only ride I got without negotiation was immediately I landed at MMA2.. Airport to Alapere for 4k. Took d driver almost 40 mins. That would've cost me like 8-10k in PH!
Pls start renegotiating every ride. Nobody send una o.

As in. Even if u will continue d hustle not as a high earner. But just maintenance. Not that iz d money u want to use and build house or wherever. This daily money if well structured helps. Not driving for long long hours. Just do ur bit get what u want for maintenance and move on.

D days of earning high and being proud of ur dashboard is over ooo.. cause na app n filling station get d money.

God will indeed help us.

Does anyone know how much AP at falomo is selling fuel today?
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by AutoTechDoyz(m):
Wallahi, indrive is for losers and low-lifers. How would any self-respecting ride-hailing driver operate on such ridiculously and abysmally low fares set by the platform. And I don't give a bloody hoot whether they use CNG or no. Do you think normal cabbies would reduce their fares because they run CNG-powered vehicles? Little wonder they turn beggarly when repair issues pop up.

After the skyrocketing of fuel price, I say oya o make I dump the high-handedness of bolt for the laxity and freedom-friendliness of the much touted indrive. However, no sooner had I logged in to the app than I was confronted with pathetic , ego-shattering fares. Worse still, the upper limits of the preset offers a driver could make nausea-inducing.

Take an airport trip in Abuja on bolt for instance, it's 18+ from virtually everywhere to the airport. And if it's a comfort ride you get it around 21k. Same trip on indrive, regardless of the category, I see daft drivers all scrounging for it at around 10k, a pittance. I was shocked; I'd never seen that level absurdity since my foray into the hustle. Even regular trips are not left out. Trips of 7k5 on bolt are being done for 5k max.SMH cry
I have seen very few meaningful trip requests so far. If I were to rely on those I'd be completing 1 or maybe 2 trips daily. So far, after 4 days I have been able to complete 7 trips on indrive at around the same prices on bolt, on average.

I do, however, have to give them kundus for the simplicity of their app. I love the GUI, and it's seamless integration with android.
Perhaps it's high time I returned slaving for bolt again because right now, ehn, I'm terribly fagged out. Abi wetin man go do?

If only that's possible, if they monopolize the market, it will be easy for the app to listen to our complaints and review the price upwards. But because of the competition, they can't do that cox they will loose riders.

Let's take it back to when it was only uber, price then was so good, imagine back then when fuel was 185/l, price was higher than now that fuel price is 1350/l.

I think the solution should be a driver monopoly. Where we can speak with one voice.

You see why I am angry with people like you? angry

Back in 2021 when you were here abusing me and others saying "this business is dead" tell us exactly how much N5,000 worth of fuel could buy back then? undecided wasn't it the same 30 litres of fuel you're using to give us example of your so called "better days" here today? angry

So what type of demon was controlling you back then to be badmouthing us and the business? 🤔

I’ve been screaming it for a few days now. Unite all drivers, slowly but surely, even if it takes 2 years. Once we are all United, we can get commissions down to 10% (max of 15% - reason for 15% being that they also provide the payment portal, otherwise it should be 10%. That or 12.5% and a small flat fee in every withdrawal/payout transaction) on both platforms as well as set a fair dynamic price that moves with the market cost of all the tools we use eg fuel, parts, vehicles etc I’ve been thinking we need a minimum of 1000 to start to negotiate change in a serious way. The cost of our assets and labour outweigh the cost of their technology by far, especially considering that a good chunk of their billion dollar valuations is based on our assets which they obviously don’t own. The only real solution is for drivers to unite.

A happy slave is the greatest enemy of freedom! I’ve slaved enough.

I believe this because it was bolt that made uber to reduce their price, at first they were forming jagaban until bolt came into the picture.
But it has its own disadvantages, they will be feeling like God.

If drivers don't commit any form of irregularities, they won't get blocked or get suspended, and I believe if price is good enough, drivers won't misbehave except for the greedy ones.

Honestly, it makes sense for Nigerian drivers’ unions and transport associations to stop depending on foreign ride-hailing companies and instead partner with Nigerian investors to create a local alternative—something similar to InDrive, but designed around Nigerian realities and we dump their f*ass once and for all.

You're right. Bolt started this rubbish when they came into the picture. Uber came with the best standard practice until those daft bolt people arrived and watered it down with their operation.
