emmasoft:The beauty of an alternative to real estate (physical property) - REIT SFSREIT is to distribute 28.3 to unitholders for the year ended 2025. Imagine an investor who bought early in 2023, around 110/unit If he bought 1,000,000 units, then at the cost of 110,000,000 2023 year end - 14,500,000 @ distribution per unit of 14.5 2024 year end - 21,500,000 @ distribution per unit of 21.5 2025 year end - 28,300,000 @ distribution per unit of 28.3 In 3 years, the investor will have 64,300,000. Currently, the price of SFSREIT is 418.75 That gives 418,750,000 if he sells today, so in 3 years, with the dividends added, he realizes 483,050,000 Let's assume he uses 4,050,000 as the cost of transactions, which gives a net of 479,000,000 All of this happened without the investor buying a piece of land or building any house. May not have even stepped out of the house. Be in touch if you wish to come on board. |

emmasoft:Any advantage of subscribing directly with SFS than with any other stockbroker? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 9:14am On Mar 27 |
welzyj2:SFSREIT, like other REITs, is a closed-end fund, not like MMF that is open-ended; it trades on the NGX just like the shares of other listed companies, and investors can't subscribe through the fund manager. You will need to open a stock/cscs account to buy any units you need. Click the third link in my signature to open a stock/cscs account for free with Investment One Stockbrokers. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 9:45am On Mar 27 |
emmasoft:I thought SFS have a Stockbroking arm, hence my question. Will consider to purchase some units through my stockbroker CardinalStone after more due diligence. From the look of available REITs, this is actually the only one with a positive growth in 56 weeks and always maintaining its balance. Others maintained same amount in past 56 weeks, while UHOMREITs is 20naira from its 56 weeks high |

| Re: Mutual Funds by LoriHamo: 10:34am On Mar 27 |
DO NOT invest in equity for a RETIREE.... It's not suitable......the greatest advantage(read requirement) for equity is TIME....... She does not have that as a retiree... Let her manage whatever returns she gets from low risks investments o o Hmmmmm heavenisreal18: |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Bluearrow: 11:42am On Mar 27 |

| Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 2:53pm On Mar 27 |
Creditalerts:Funny enough if you select 1 or 2 stocks you can get that 2m in a day or loose it😊 |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 2:59pm On Mar 27 |
Don't try equity; rather, buy some high-paying dividend stocks. Equity is not for old people ooooooooooooooooooooo. heavenisreal18: |
| Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 4:28pm On Mar 27 |
EquityM:Stocks can be brutal. It's a no go area for a retiree' s fund. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 4:37pm On Mar 27 |
welzyj2:The highest return any stock can give in a day is 10 percent. 10 percent of 5m is 500k and you can't even make 500k in a day when you consider charges. A retiree needs regular income for survial but stocks cannot guarantee that. You can buy today and start losing immediately. Let's not say anything that will tempt him to invest a retiree's money into stocks. Even experienced and professional stocks traders can lose big. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Creditalerts: 5:07pm On Mar 27 |
welzyj2:even more than 2m sef 😏🤑 |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Creditalerts: 5:09pm On Mar 27 |
EquityM:why are u discouraging 😞 us? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 7:29pm On Mar 27 |
emmaBS:Just kidding around... stock price movement in Nigeria is +/- 10% daily Can't loose more than 10% can't gain more than 10% Someone already advised b4 now that equity is for the long haul not monthly cash out |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 7:29pm On Mar 27 |
Creditalerts:Lmao 🤣 🤣 🤣 |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Nobody: 7:29pm On Mar 27 |
Lol, the Nigerian pension fund currently has a stock portfolio in NGX. Stocks are not brutal if you choose the right one, NIDF is a great option for her. emmaBS: |
