Jordan is beating Costa Rica 2-0, not a bad team, we should have a good game against them. |

Our next opponents, Jordan beating Costa Rica 2-0 in a friendly Recall they were finalist of the 2024 AFC Asian Cup losing to Qatar in the final after knocking out Son's South Korea. They also finished 2nd in the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup losing to Morocco. Iran also reached the semis of the Asian Cup in 2024 but Qatar stopped them. They will give us a nice challenge but dem still no reach. |

Ghana ehn. Na semenyo at Man City and Kudus at Spurs dey make them delusional. To be fair though, Austria is ranked 48 places above Ghana in the FIFA ranking. Austria - #24 Ghana - #72 So Ghana no play their "level" ![]() But then, even Iran (ranked #20) high pass Austria wey knack them 5-1. Double tueh! Papi85: |

minfelix:I would love Chelle as a coach to have plan b tactics wise to games because in the teams current style of play once you cut off/disrupt Iwobi’s link up forward passes it’s finished for the team Exactly how Morocco managed to nullify the team at the last Afcon. I would want another system where the team doesn’t really hv to rely on Iwobi’s sharp link up passes |

minfelix:it’s very easy to frustrate the team to be honest. Shut out Iwobi and his passing channels and it’s finished. Na exactly wetin Morocco do us for last Afcon Chelle really need to scout for more midfielders |

Sugarboyy:Reason why Westerhoff remain my favorite coach...what you bring to eagles is the determinant... Benjamin Frederick is a starter anyday, Ekong saw Frederick and say bye bye... |

Folks like Charles here still dont understand how good a young CB has to be to bench an Afcon MVP-level CB. I shake my head honestly. Kog45: |

Benjy was preferred ahead of Osayi, same beast we saw at Afcon 2025. Benjy benched Ekong. Afcon MVP at the 2023 tournament held in 2024. Benjy was always the best CB on display when paired with even Calvin Bassey. I mean everytime!! Benjy was also the best defender on show vs DRC in that WCQs playoff final. Na this Knee Injury I blame. He will be back. I have missed his instinctual CB plays and his intelligence to drive forward to create other angles of linkup plays. With Benjy at CB, folks dont realise that Iwobi wont be our only linkup beast. Charles speak of options to Iwobi but does not understand that one of the answers is in having an intelligent CB-libero like Benjy. Kog45: |

Most of you might not know this, but there was a young kid named Famous Umole (I believe he is 17 yrs old) on the bench today vs Iran, he must have been called up as a late replacement (not sure if he was an NFF or Chelle call up) but he's supposed to be an exciting prospect from our youth system. Does anyone know anything about this kid? |

Kog45:Ekong was never a reliable defender for the SE, to me he was just opportune and he sometimes only plays well at tournaments when playing 3 defence |
