1. How did the Oba command soldiers with muskets? Oba's warriors used machetes

2. The biggest slave port in Lagos is far away in badagry. So how is it that it is not the Oba of Badagry that was bombarded.

3. Please slave trade is a trade. Who was the Oba trading with? Europeans. Why is the other patty in the trade not mentioned?.

4. Slaves were also taken from other parts of Nigeria, especially Benin and Rivers sides. So I want to know how is it that the whole Nigeria refused to stop slave trade according to you. Many tribes didn't even get involved in slave trade

It’s projection combined with deep amorality . There’s no internal moral compass. Rules only exist as obstacles to be overcome. It’s difficult for a sensible person to fathom. Take something like slavery for example. A normal person finds it abhorrent because they do the empathic introspection and think, “that’s horrifying, I’d never want to be a slave, it should be eradicated from society”.

MAGA thinks, “oh that’s horrifying, I’d never want to be a slave, I NEED TO MAKE SURE I’M ALWAYS THE MASTER”.

Because all rules are external. They have no internal guidance and that’s why they’re so easy to manipulate.

I knew MAGA had some sort of pathological mental issue, but the other day I had an encounter with two in the wild and it was bone-chilling. Here's the story:

I was eating lunch alone after a hike here in California. I sat at the bar to avoid the wait. Two people sat next to me and they struck up a conversation. They said they were from South Carolina and they were visiting national parks. Because of a negative interaction they had that day they asked why so many Californians hate maga. I told them a few reasons, including the recent DOJ directive by Trump telling law enforcement agencies to actively investigate Americans who don't support "christian values" and "traditional families" as potential terrorists. What they said next was incredibly eye-opening. They said, "That's how we felt when Biden targeted us".

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I told them that Biden HAD NEVER targeted people in that way. They swore he did. I asked them to produce evidence of this and the husband in the duo said "He put Roger Stone in jail". I said that Roger Stone was investigated, charged, prosecuted, tried, and convicted on specific, established, statutes. I then said that anyone who breaks the law should go through that process, but not having certain "values" isn't a crime. They followed it up by saying that the Jan 6 insurrectionists were "regular Americans held for their political beliefs" ... I countered that they were held for their ACTIONS not their BELIEFS and they were investigated based on their actions, not that their beliefs were investigated to motivate charges against them. They COULD NOT UNDERSTAND the difference. They then said Trump was doing a great job in Iran by hitting them before they hit us. It finally clicked.

Conservatives are wired to be afraid of a hypothetical scenario and respond by performing that scenario against their perceived antagonist FIRST. Everyone else... normal people... are programmed to respond to a hypothetical scenario by preventing the scenario from happening, not by DOING IT TO OTHERS FIRST.

For example, if they fear "the left" coming for their guns, instead of just writing laws to stop that from happening they want to TAKE THE LEFT'S GUNS. If they fear a country bombing us, they don't try to diplomatically defuse tensions, they BOMB THEM FIRST. If they fear being put in detention camps by atheists they build camps and round up atheists.

Is there a psychological term for this behavior? Because it's terrifying and too easy to manipulate. They are willing to accept any ludicrous permise and act it out on others. We're not getting out of this within my life time. It will take decades to remove this sad disease from America.

Do you know the impact of what the systems back then has subjected Africa into as at today?

Reparations is asked by Africans because

1. They did not control the global system—that was driven by European powers.
2. They did not create the transatlantic demand for enslaved labor.
3. They did not accumulate lasting global wealth from the trade. Some countries are still benefitting from wealth built from the intense transatlantic slavery.
4. Lasting inequalities was created and impacting on your black brothers and generations to come.
