I am aware that law enforcement agencies could grant a suspect administrative bail or bail on self recognition. However, since he was being detained based on court order, his release however temporary has to be backed by court. Anyways, no too worry yourself, e sure me say ICPC officials and DSS will be on ground on the burial. Immediately after the burial, dem go drag am inside vehicle enter his cell room that night. |

Power is transient. What goes around, comes around. The more things change, the more they remain the same. In saner clime, things happen in a particular way. But in an insane clime like Nigeria, things happen in confusing way. May the soul Mama El Rufai rest in peace. Amen. |

I recall when Buhari's mother died while he was in detention, IBB didn't give a hoot about him. He wasn't given any chance to go bury his mother. And for Elrufai, it seems by popular opinion, lots of Nigerians want to see him end up in jail. Even the "emergency lovers of Elrufai" who called him all sorts of names were also looking forward to a day like this to come. -Kiss the truth! |

festacman:In which saner clime would a court order the detention of a person and such person would be allowed to go attend his mother burial while standing trial in court?. You guys have taken opposition to a whole new clownish level. -Kiss the truth! |

I'm sure it's the unlawful detention of El Rufai that led to his mother's death. Which mother would hear that her son is detained without the accusers charging him to court and be happy? The calamity of being a Nigerian is that the same El Rufai will still hold a leadership position and will fail to reform the necessary institutions to do the right thing. Instead, he will use the institutions to bully his perceived political enemies |

TimeManager:Even if Escobar wants to deal with El Rufai, he has a duty to follow the rule of law. Nigerian authorities should stop behaving like animals and some of you get angry when someone calls Nigeria a zoo |

TimeManager:Who released El rufai to go home without court order? Opposition or Government? What are you trying to say here? By the way, it is not the court's business if a detainee is given any kind of concessions by the detaining authority as far as he is provided in court as and when the court needs him. Listen my friend, the politicians know themselves. It is supporters like you who are manipulated to believe that they hate themselves. Calm down and put Nigeria first rather putting a fellow corrupt Nigerian first because you have some level of affinity with him. |
