International hospital?

We have serious problem with nomenclature in this country.

Now what is International about the hospital?

You may praise the hospital to the highest degree, whether for its facilities or the quality of its healthcare professionals. However, the use of the name “International” is what I find difficult to understand.

This is good but much more important to Enugu residents is water and the governor failed in his promise to give the residents water. Tankers are still moving everywhere exploiting the situation as they pass on the excessive taxation of the state government onto the consumers.

Why do they have to add “international” to the name?

For those that may not know the history of this project.
This project was originally conceived as Renaissance University Teaching Hospital. The Renaissance University is owned by the former governor of the state Chimaroke Nnamani (1999-2007). The construction reached an advanced stage before work was stopped by the EFCC which seized properties belonging to former governor Nnamani. According to the EFCC, the property and many others were acquired by the former governor from proceeds of corruption.
The land in which the hospital is located was the then commissioner’s quarters.
In 2023, the EFCC handed over the seized property to the Enugu government.

You see as everybody just ignore you, not because they are not willing to boost your knowledge but because of your negativity. It stinks.

At least it is still being used as a hospital, unlike the Children’s Referral Centre in Agbarho, Delta State, which has been converted into a church. 😢😢😢

They need to be receiving free health screening

The olosho that I carried last December gave me international gono, therefore ithey should be screened in an international hospital

Would the residents really get to enjoy the facilities? That's the most important question.

This is because the average Nigerian is afflicted with an inferiority complex. The location of the facility screams 'discrimination.' A hospital at Okpara Square, in the heart of Enugu and less than 500 meters from the Government House, is not intended for ordinary people. That is the true meaning of 'international.'

And until this governor provides the water he campaigned on, he is a fraud.

Vainglorious giant edifice to massage the governor's ego while the residents are running around with jerry cans looking for clean water. Why this top down approach to governance? Any State government that cannot provide portable water to the city residents in this 2026 is completely useless.

Mbah will be a dullard if he doesnt increase the salary of health workers it's easy to build hospitals but no one to man them
Re: Video And Pictures Of The 300-Bed Enugu International Hospital by DTruthman: 7:43am On Mar 30
That's how they will tell us that it is international standard and with cutting edge equipments, yet they will never be admitted there if they ever need medical attention. One just lost his mom abroad after spending 8 years as a governor.

Anyways, good gesture!

Rubbish I almost could not sleep yesterday night after watching the video of a general hospital in Ugwo posted probably by interns the condition of the hospital is terrible in the same Enugu state oooh.
Instead of fixing the already existing ones that are in bad shape they are busy building new one that will deteriorate after few years due to bad maintenance culture.

To maintain this hospital...contract most of the services and always do follow up and ratings.
