Goke7:So is the ex internationals that's doing business with super eagles players or is it the NFF? If there are foreign Borns somewhere who are on pal / better than what we have,or have the potential to become one, they are welcomed. But if you think by flooding our national team with just foreign born players would lead us to glory or return us to glory days, you are mistaken. Our greater chance stood on solid foundation of our youth teams system and the right integration of the very best our foreign Borns. You can't just abandon the home grown players entirely. People should check the performances of our various age group teams from 1983 to 1993 and see how it reflected to the super eagles team afterwards. |

Goke7:Fact,we missed two consecutive world cup outings?big question where did we got it wrongs?time to reflect on that, not all these foreign or home born bla bla. Despite the influx of foreign born we failed to make it to world cup again....I think you're so engrossed with anything foreign and reason why you're castigating the same Eguavoen that gave Bassey and Lookman their debuts in all important WC qualifying match.....If you don't know local coaches gave Balogun Leon,Troost Ekong,Alex Iwobi,Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman,Semi Ajayi the needed chances but to you they hate foreign born abi....from time immemorial Naija don dey use foreign born, players like Tunji Banjo,John Chiedozie, Reuben Agboola,Efan Ekoku,John Orlando a Ghanian who was our family friend when I was small, fact he won Afcon 1980 with eagles and represented Nigeria in Olympics...Oga Goke you too dey drag our ex internationals, they're entitled to their opinions. On making money from players transfer,we shouldn't go there cuz I have enough facts how it's run by both foreign and local coaches who have handled Nigeria teams... let's just hope for better eagles and support Chelle cuz not making WC with two recent APOTY winners call for questioning |

What of femi Azeez of Millwal fc he should have been invited for this friendlies, he's a very good left footed player who will add a lot quality to our right wing considering chukwueze not been consistent with his performance. @supernerd any information about him please. Thanks |

Kog45:Before you guys continue to throw stones at me let’s always make sure we stick to the context of the matter which is why we aren’t taking enough advantage of the immense talent we have in the diaspora which is what coach Elyte was asking how come other countries are able to clear so many foreign borns so swiftly and Nigeria can’t. Elder I have listened to so many of our sports journalists and ex players and many of them are not favourably disposed to having these guys around like that o na for nairaland I see the immense passion to have these guys. There is this assertion and view that we shouldn’t flood the national team with these guys as some of them according to these pundits may not have the true Nigerian spirit, do I agree with them of course not am only bringing to the fore the reason we may not be seeing the nff taking in so much of these lads or being lackadaisical in doing so but may be just few but going the entire way like we see other African teams now doing am not sure and that’s where am coming from! |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 5:34pm On Mar 29 |
Napoleon55:😂 you’re just going here and there but it’s good you’re just echoing the same reason I highlighted why the nff won’t be be going after talents in the diaspora like the way some of our fellow African teams are now doing |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Napoleon55(m): 6:57pm On Mar 29 |
Kog45:I don't know why some here always drag our ex internationals just because of few of them with different opinions,or few they believed have questionable characters . Even Osimhen and co that we all love today would one day become ex internationals Dragging NFF is understandable because almost everyone hates them, any case against them would always fetch many points, whether they are wrong or right. But one thing I know is that, even if we manage to have a team made of 100% foreign born players,it's not going to be a guarantee to win any trophy. |

lbrichman2:Yes a bit harsh cuz I will pick Nwabali over Ejide and Aiyenugba...having Enyeama,Nwabali and Okoye looked good and could have been the best all time goalkeeper trio representing Nigeria. |

Kog45:Exactly Chief I even feel it's the team that has even let Nwabali down.. Against Morocco for instance, Nwabali did what he needed to do, both in regulation time and during the PK shoot out Only for Chuks to spoil the advantage his save gave us! |
