Terrorist Attacks: University Of Jos Suspends Exams by eddie7(op): 10:19am On Mar 30

SECURITY ADVISORY AND RESCHEDULING OF EXAMS!

In view of the late evening fatal attacks by unknown gunmen on residents of Angwan Rukuba (an area that hosts many staff and students of the University), and the consequential tensions it has generated in and around the area and environs, the Vice Chancellor has directed that:

1. All examinations scheduled to hold on Monday 30th, and Tuesday 31st March, 2026 are postponed, and will be rescheduled accordingly.

2. That members of the University community be advised to be very vigilant and extra careful with their movements (On and off Campus) with IMMEDIATE EFFECT. For emphasis, members are strongly advised to AVOID COMING OUT VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING, and should REPORT IMMEDIATELY any sign or shadow of breach of the public peace to the University Security Division on 08035895323.

3. University Management is actively liaising with the relevant Security agencies and monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of lives of members of the University community.

4. Further relevant updates will be communicated in due course.

We can't continue like this. Nigeria needs to be divided along ethnic Nationalities. Let those that want to coexist as a country remain together.

Amoda is a failure, but this issue even goes beyond politics.

Angwan rukuba is a strong christian vicinity and attacks like this most often escalate into prolonged and dangerous inter-faith retaliations.

If this first catalyst isn't managed well, the christian youths will begin to boil. We have seen it happen before. So the postponement of this exam is very much a good step. Tensions have to be calmed before large gatherings begin again.

I'm even expecting more government measures because jos fights too dey bl**dy.
