basilico:
The No kings protest was about Trump being a dictator.
Senate has refused to pass the VoterID Act despite the house passing it. So much for a dictator.

Let's see how long before a judge blocks this.

President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order Tuesday cracking down on mail-in voting across the country, the Daily Caller learned first.

The executive order will require the Secretary of Homeland Security to create a list of verified U.S. citizens who are eligible to vote in each state with the Social Security Administration’s help, according to a fact sheet shared with the Caller.

The presidential action will also require that the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) only send absentee ballots to those on each state’s approved mail-in ballot list. Ballots will now have specific secure envelopes, with unique barcodes for tracking, the order mandates.

States will be provided with their revised list of confirmed voters no less than 60 days before each federal election under the order.

The executive order also tells the U.S. Attorney General to prioritize investigating and prosecuting anyone accused of sending ballots to ineligible voters,

The USPS strictly should not deliver ballots to an ineligible person. If it's been made aware.
Im eager to see how an Obama or Biden judge will twist this.
Trump has no powers to conduct elections for states because that is the exact meaning of this epistle

The USPS falls under the executive not states.
A state cannot force it to send forgeries to any one.
Just like social media can delete false information.
A ballot to an ineligible person is a forgery.

A lot of people were tricked and fooled. Only a few are willing to admit it though.

TV01:
Please sir address the point in view and answer the questions. Based on your claim that The Lord Jesus Christ did not do away with the law (nailed it to the cross - hallelujah) and that in "fulfilling" it, not "abolishing" it, the law remains in force.
+
I am trying my best to remain clear and consistent with you, but it appears you need me to kowtow to your reading of things before you can proceed. Note that I am not a Christian, and as such it really is not my business what a Christian wants to abide by or not. What is clear to me is that -

1. The same God Christians worship made barbaric commandments in the Old Testament (including orders for genocide)

2. The same Jesus worshipped by Christians repeatedly quoted the Old Testament in many things. He would ask, what does the law of Moses tell you, for example, and when asked what it takes to enter the Kingdom of heaven he summarized the law as being loving God and loving your neighbor (and this is a summary of the ten commandments - the first four dealing with God and the last six dealing with your neighbor)

In light of the foregoing, tell me, is it not reasonable to say that it is questionable to languidly and carelessly wave away the Old Testament and its laws? Is it your position that the Old Testament has been abolished? Has it been "cancelled" the way Muslims say that newer scripture cancels older scripture? You tell me, if that is what you think.

Tell me specifically, have the ten commandments been abolished?

Have all the commandments towards love, fairness, justice, honesty and humility in the Old Testament been abolished?

Are Christians not still bound by them?

Or is it only when a Christian sees a command that he does not like that he remebers that Alhaji Jesus has changed things?

Go ahead and tell me.

You are the one trying to hold me to a thing I never said. I never said "Christians are bound by the law" for example. That is your inference. I can understand why you leap to that inference but it misses my position. I dont think Christians are bound by all of the law (I gave you the example of the edict against shaving facial hair to show you that there are many petty and absurd rules therein - the books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus are a sad read full of nonsensical and petty injunctions) - BUT - no one can argue that the God that Christians worship (someone who is said to be the same yesterday, today and forever) once made such injunctions and prescriptions and no one can deny that it is worrisome that he would.

A lawyer that doesn't know the meaning of fulfil grin. From the same Nigeria that members of the NBA offered to defend Deborah's killers pro-bono. Where they disbarred by any chance? My fault for having expectations I guess. undecided
+
We fulfill promises, laws are not "fulfilled" - no one makes such a usage of language either in law or everyday life. Laws are either obeyed, disobeyed or enforced. So quit the petty attempt at the professional ad hominem.

Speaking theologically however, I would say that Christ meant that the entire thrust of the events of the Old Testament found fulfillment in his coming. Certainly not that the laws and rules therein were fulfilled by him. If anything he dismissed quite a few of the said laws and rules (On Divorce/ On Revenge/ On the Sabbath, to mention a few). Thus you are the one being absurd and failing to use or understand language properly if you speak about law being fulfilled.

The facts remain -

1. Both OT and NT endorsed slavery
2. Christians and the Church justified slavery (and the murder of alleged witches) with bible verses.

Defend that.

Hours (practice and experience) are the most important thing when it comes to flying
Basilico: I've sat in the jump seat(passenger seat) of a plane several times so I have experience flying planes.
shocked huh undecidedcry

I'm sad for what we call education nowadays.
People keep proving you have to be low IQ to be MAGA.
I have ever done a short stint working for an airline as the ICT Manager. I setup their call centre , liased with the developers of an online booking system ,redid their ICT infrastructure - server room, plus network servers including an exchange server plus CCTV .
Spent quite some time at the airport terminal check in.. The employees were crazy, having been used to manual ticketing and loading they never wanted a system which managed the airline . They would get bribed to underreport hand luggage. Which gives the pilot a very good idea of the amount of fuel for the flight.
The pilots were my friends that's how I managed to get the jump seat.
So yes I know more about flying behind the scenes , than the average person, you can include the cabin crew there.

Not expats but surely you know that many foreigners from neighbouring countries routinely vote in our elections. Especially in the North.
We do use IDs to vote in Nigeria, don't we - never mind that the Northerners even allow their herd of cattle to vote, from what I gather (however true that may be)?

You sound (write) like a lawyer I know in Port Harcourt. Is that where you live?

And with your knowledge, is there any airline that would put a pilot on a plane if that pilot if not fully proficient?

Yes and many non Nigerians have those IDs.

No, I live in Lagos. Always have, from birth and likely always will, despite the temptations to move.

So, then, if the leader of the free world (US) request that voters should have an ID to vote, is this out of place? Is there really something sinister that can be tied to this as many democrats are saying about this? Isn't it even a strange thing that such is happening in a country like the US in this day and age?

Even the non-Nigerians among us present an ID to vote!

Never, a plane is not like a car where you can park , get out and resume journey.
It's a problem when an airline starts looking at what race to hire.
I have been on a flight where a flight returned a few minutes after takeoff over a storm , we were forced to turn back. Cost the company quite some amount of money. In the morning they sent the Chief pilot with another plane to collect us. At that time a flight cost the airline $5000 per hour all factors constant.
As ICT head,I was aware they blamed the first pilot for that debacle ,other airlines took off successfully apart from ours.

Personally I dont really have a problem with insisting on IDs to vote to be honest. But the truth is just that the way America is configured, they know already that the minorities are far less likely to have IDs owing to the fact that a higher percentage of them live somewhat economically shambolic and "scattered" lives. So its a thing they understand well. And they are doing it to diminish the minority vote, nothing more.

Mind you, I still say there is nothing wrong with asking for IDs.

America is weird in many things, there are only a couple of countries in the world where a felon can contest elections.

Bro, C'mon! If Nigeria - ranked as the poorest country on Earth right now, having fallen to that decrepit spot by displacing the former numero uno - India, still require IDs to vote in our elections, how is it that the "poor" in the US cannot get IDs, wherever they might be, to go to vote?

Charlie Kirk questioned if a black pilot is qualified. Deepsight asked you if you know any pilot that is not qualified (did not do the minimum flight hours or training)

Either Charlie kirk made a foolish, racist remark or all black (and all races) are qualified.
