Sorry Raum, but Charlie Kirk was not "referring to". He was outrightly promoting an idea he knows to be false!

No reputable airline would place their multimillion dollar plane full of passengers in the hands of an unqualified pilot regardless of race or color or gender, because it's just not economically viable nor sustainable for the airline.
Charlie stated that airlines are required to meet a certain quota of certain democraphics, So when they do not have enough of that democraphics, they reduce their cut off and admission criteria

When you get on a flight how will you know Pilot A or Pilot B got up to the required marks or he was pushed to meet a certain quota

Same way we view Adamu in Nigeria, Is this Adamu at NNPC there because he was one of the best in his school or just pushed there as part of a quota

In the state of Texas, when you request for a ID, you bring your proof of citizenship then they will grant you an ID with a Gold star that shows you are a citizen, then mail it to your house within 1 week

Once your citizenship is verified, you can apply online for change of address, renew expired licenses without having to go to licensing office and you get it within 1-2 weeks

https://www.texas.gov/driver-services/texas-real-id/
I do not think I would necessarily have a "proof of citizenship" even if I was born in Texas. Ijebos, please correct me if I am wrong here.

I just got a new birth certificate here in UK, and it specifically states that it is not proof of identity, much less citizenship, since just about anyone can order a copy of my birth certificate if they have sufficient knowledge of my details.

In fact, I had to go to Scotland Yard to prove I am me the last time I renewed my passport because someone else had acquired one in my name. I had to give finger prints to prove I wasn't that person whose finger prints they already had because that person had been in jail.

Yes, you have to get an appointment to bring your proof of citizenship.
So you have to Get proof of Citizenship.
1.) Get your proof of citizenship
-Get an appointment to get one
-Take time off to get one (if you aren't salaried, it will cost you a day's pay)
-Pay to get a duplicate one
2.) Get an appointment to bring in your citizenship proof
3.) Take time off to get the appointment (if you aren't salaried, it will cost you a day's pay)
4.) Pay for one
4.) Wait for the new id. If it doesn't get lost in the mail.

How much time and money would it cost to do all of that?
Again, you seem to have a problem with the details of all of this.
Please, what is a proof of citizenship?

And would I have one if my grandparents were citizens?

I thought it might be. It isn't here in UK because of reasons I've previously stated.

Your birth certificate is your proof of citizenship because either
1. It shows you were born in the US which automatically makes you a citizen
or
2. It shows one of your biological parent whose name is on your birth certificate is a US citizen which makes you also a citizen

The other way to be a citizen is by naturalization and this is where your certificate of naturalization comes in

Forget identities in the parliament, the UK made the decision.
Yes, In 1540! And the same UK is resisting to abolish it.

Cousin marriage has been legal in the UK since 1540, following a 1,000-year prohibition by the Church, allowing Henry VIII to marry Catherine Howard. Once common, particularly in the 19th-century upper classes, it declined sharply by the 1920s to around 1 in 300 marriages.

No reputable airline anywhere will "reduce their cut off and admission criteria" to the extent they hire unqualified pilots to fly their multimillion dollar planes. In fact, I very much doubt such an airline will get insurance cover to fly.

Even you are smart enough, I hope, not to fly on an airline that hires unqualified pilots. And if an unqualified pilot crashes a plane, which is to be expected, that airline will immediately cease to exist, and will have to pay millions in damages too.

But what's worse is how some will react to seeing a black person or woman is going to pilot them. They'd question their qualification, as if being black and or female is disqualifying, and white and male is a qualification.

Below is an example of the idiocy Kirk's rhetoric promotes.

Similar here in UK I guess, ever since Margaret Thatcher abolished citizenship by birth with the British Nationality Act 1981, which came into force on January 1, 1983, and abolished automatic right of jus soli ("right of soil"wink.

Like in USA, one of your parents must be a British citizen or "settled" in the UK to qualify. And you must provide evidence to prove it.

So, basically, a birth certificate is not sufficient to prove citizenship in UK, because it does not state parental status.

The below is from the copy of the new birth certificate I just got. My original does not however say anything of the sort.

Black or women is not the disqualifying, Its the quota system that guarantee that a certain number

If I tell you that admission into flight school is 90% but we must pick 10 people from Osun, 10 from Gombe, 10 from Abia. What now happens if we have more than 10 people from Abia who score 90, but we only have 6 people who scored 90 from Osun?
That means you have t drop some over 90% from Abia because its pegged at 10 candidates
If you are trying to enforce 10 people from Osun, that will mean you have to pick 4 people who did not get up to 90%

In the future when passengers hear a pilot is from Osun, then they start to wonder, Boy, I hope he's qualified or Are you one of those under 90%?

There are standard minimum flying hours for pilots in America. There is no reduction in standards or pass mark for pilots.

Instead of talking rubbish, just admit Charlie Kirk was dead wrong and racist.

The bold only applies when you are not born on US soil which means you have to report the birth at an embassy and fill certain forms to prove that at least one of the biological parents is an American

https://travel.state.gov/en/international-travel/living-abroad/birth.html

Every birth on US soil is a citizen by default

DEI would make you ask why you have 90% from Abia and only 10% from elsewhere. And it will propel you to address the barriers, which can not include reducing the requirements for admission and final competence because of reasons I have stated.

Most countries will do DEI where women are concerned because it is recognised that barriers that have precluded women have existed for decades and need to be dismantled, and it does not involve lowering standards, but helping them meet the standards if assistance is required.

Here is an example from F1.

They are not making cars slower or anything, just making it possible for women to stand a chance of getting on the grid. Îgnorant people like Kirk would however claim that's how Lewis Hamilton got on the grid.

Not here in UK, sadly, since Maggie changed the law.

Parents must be here legally for the child to qualify. But I have the funny feeling compassion would make us apply that law leniently, as we tend to not deport children.

The way to address that is to ensure everyone is given a fair chance but not reducing criteria and enforcing quotas

Ensure that every state gets a chance, you interview from all state but stick to your admission criteria.

When you enforce quotas, then it might make some with less that the admission criteria get in, which at the end, the people getting served do not want to be served by someone who only got in through a quota

Anyone can fly a plane with minimal instructions, what raumdeuter or Charlie Kirk are talking about is if the person is the most qualified, the best from the basket or the person was selected even if they are not the best option because of their color.

This is common sense.

Please, what is a proof of citizenship?

And would I have one if my grandparents were citizens?
These are proof of citizenship for the Save Act:
-Valid U.S. Passport: A valid U.S. passport (passport card or booklet) is the primary acceptable document.
-REAL ID with Citizenship Indication: A government-issued driver’s license or state-issued ID that is compliant with the REAL ID Act and indicates on its face that the holder is a U.S. citizen.
-Birth Certificate + Photo ID: A certified birth certificate issued by a state, local, or tribal government, accompanied by a government-issued photo ID.
-Military ID + Record: A U.S. military identification card combined with a record of service (e.g., DD-214) indicating a U.S. place of birth.
Other Citizenship Documents: A Certificate of Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization, or a Native American tribal identification document.
Interesting question.
If your grandparents were citizens, I think most likely you'd be a citizen, but there are residency requirements and you'd have to apply I would think.
Found this:
3. Reliance on Physical Presence of Child’s U.S. Citizen Grandparent
If the child’s parent does not meet the physical presence requirement, the child may rely on the physical presence of the child’s U.S. citizen grandparent to meet the requirement. In such cases, the officer first must verify that the citizen grandparent, the citizen parent’s mother or father, is a U.S. citizen at the time of filing. If the grandparent has died, the grandparent must have been a U.S. citizen and met the physical presence requirements at the time of his or her death.

Like in the case of the citizen parent, the officer also must ensure that:

The U.S. citizen grandparent has been physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for at least 5 years; and
The U.S. citizen grandparent met such physical presence for at least 2 years after he or she reached 14 years of age.
Like the citizen parent, a grandparent’s physical presence is calculated in the aggregate and includes time accrued in the United States during periods when the grandparent was not a U.S. citizen.

DEI ensures that everyone is given a fair chance!!!

Y’all conservative folks cannot truly be this slouw.

OBVIOUSLY, the isms that plagued this country made it such that only a certain subset of the population were given chances.

You have to be truly denzze to think that people who bought and sold your kind would happily give you a chance if there weren’t any kind of policy to enforce it.

That’s what DEI did. Made it such that people who’s fair chances were taken away because of their race, gender and identity were included in the fair chance pool from where the most qualified are then selected. It cannot be explained in simpler terms than this. You guys should stop wasting your time explaining

Sorry I’m “yelling”. Slow folks annoy me 🤣🤣🤣

The local authority send you a form and you fill it out with your name, and I think they've included National Insurance number now, but every worker has one.

You are asked to state if you qualify to vote or not, and are reminded that you should not vote if you do not qualify. It is a criminal offence to lie, and the assumption is that they will find out.

You must provide id if you go to a polling station to vote. I vote by post, so no id is required.

Below is a list of id that are accepted.

https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/voting-and-elections/voter-id/accepted-forms-photo-id

The following accepted items made me laugh, but know you must show id to get them. And the standard Oyster Travelcard we top up in the shops is not included.

Older Person’s Bus Pass funded by the UK Government
Disabled Person’s Bus Pass funded by the UK Government
60+ London Oyster Photocard funded by Transport for London
Freedom Pass

Do know that I have nothing whatsoever against id to vote. My objection, if any, is dump's weaponisation of it. But personally, if the hunter learns to shoot without missing, just learn to fly without perching and get the id, is my motto.
