Consistently between 20 to 30 out of more than 200nations in the world
Consistently between 1 to 5th out of more than 50nations in Africa
Abeg, we are eligible to be classified as top nation, that's why foreign pundits look out for our result during games.
We just want more because there was a time we were amongst the top 15 in the world, and with good administration, we can be better than our current situation

There is no comparison between Nigeria and Italy in football.

The Italians have won the world cup 4 times while Nigeria has only reached 2 second rounds. The Italians also have a more developed football league than Nigeria.

The problem of Italian football I think is in its grassroots, lack of proper scouting and development of young stars.

Nigeria football problem is rooted in maladministration, corruption as well lack of development of starlings.

This world cup will likely be highly competitive... It's not going to be business as usual for France, Argentina or England.


Any serious team united and focused can go the distance regardless of FIFA ranking.

Their football sector is practically underdeveloped.

They are more vested in Cricket.
