Just seeing this. Will give it a listen but I have already pointed out the possibility of playing him further forward as a CM and there is even the possible evolution into a CAM in the lad but I dont rule out the transform from a double pivot CDM to a Lone Pivot CDM because the high technicality of the #6 role is key and best combined with Elite Athleticism.

@Thesupernerd please listen from 11.00 -13.00 on onyedika!

Like I said yesterday if he’s more forward minded then let’s make adjustments

this guy said the same thing I and few others have been saying about Onyedika
If Chelle succeeds in getting Gibson Yah and or Emeka Iroegbu, Onyedika will be gone.

He is not imposing and can't dictate the pace of the game. Always looking confused and looking for the easy way out by passing backwards and sideways. Not a top marker either.

Great addition if true, he hasn't played for Spain at youth level so not much paperwork needed
He hasn't done anything to warrant being wanted by Chelle. We have better players in his position.

Nigeria to play Portugal in June
Another 4 nil beating loading
I hope they don’t embarrass Nigeria
Especially with what I saw against Jordan undecided
With our full and healthy squad under Chelle? Common man don't be a wimp lol

If the Unity cup gist is true, it means we would have played 6 games this year before June ending, counting from after the AFCON..

Suddenly the world cup miss doesn't seem so painful anymore..
Yeah good consolation.

You beat me to it lol, was just about to post this...see how the FA from serious nations take responsibility by doing the needful, but in Nigeria our administrators and leaders will rather die there with all their heaps of garbage and mediocrity.

I am happy with the friendlies news.... meanwhile on Arthur Okonkwo and Nigeria...

him and his team are very foolish, he’s trying to see if he can make it to the EPL, then he’ll try to see if he can use performance to convince the 3 lions handlers.

Talk is cheap
Did you watch the Iran & Jordan games
I hope you know Osimhen would not be available
I will remind you on that day
This coach didn’t impress me
He would have tried out good replacements for Osimhen
Why play Lookman for long minutes
The friendlies should’ve been used to try out a solid team B but it was below par to me
Not a great window for our football
Maro.c won ara..b cup with team B

I learnt he was an attacking midfielder coming up the ranks as a grassroot player back then in Onitsha, he probably suffered the same fate as mikel obi when he got to Europe.

I am not surprised reading this. He has that CAM gene in his game. It is well.

Not a great window for our football
Portugal 3 - 0 Nigeria
Well it's your opinion, but your first mistake (perhaps due to your entitlement as a Nigerian who thinks we're too good for Iran and Jordan) is to feel those two teams are bad teams by any stretch, they're among the better/ improved teams in their continent...and they are world cup bound while you're not; so maybe they deserve some respect? We beat Iran and largely outplayed them (Iran are no pushovers these days, they demolished Costa Rica 5-0), we played out a fair draw against Jordan who are Asian champions and if you follow their football rise, they've been very competitive.

Secondly the whole goal of the friendly just like every international friendly was to try out new players and see which of them are good enough to transition to the main team, and I think that mission was somewhat achieved with the emergence of Fernandez and Otele...we experimented with a new defence lacking our key players and goal keeper cause Uzoho and Adeleye are just not it- and we at least know our indispensable defence will always consist of Bassey, Benjamin Fredrick, Ajayi, Fernandez and Nwaiwu.

So I genuinely don't know what makes you think a complete Nigerian team under a manager that has yet to lose a game in regular time, whose team knows how to score goals, and has played very good football for majority of his stint will suddenly lose badly to Portugal because of some low profile friendly where we didn't even have a single Nigerian fan to cheer the team. Portugal will most likely beat us, but it won't be an embarrassing outing by us and I'm willing to bet any amount on that (put your money on the bet).u

This is a friendly bro the coach has achieved what he wants with these games we have seen what other players who are not regulars can bring to the table and that’s what it’s all about

Apt. Poor scanning, poor anticipation, poor positional awareness, not combative and hadworking too.

I once thought he was the best thing after slice bread but the scales have since fallen off my eyes.

Little wonder Jose Peseiro preferred Alhassan Yusuf to him at the 2023 AFCON.

.. . And truly Alhassan better pass am by far.

he hardly detect play or even muscle out midfield battles.

Many here claim he is creative and a good passer of the ball but since his debut in the national team even in the colors of Brugge all I see re back and sideways passes. Also he isn’t a good ball carrier or runner like Onyeka

If onyedika is as good as hyped he would hv collected that cdm starters shirt frm Ndidi

they are the top ranked team anyway. And whoever replaces Iran, will be in Iran's group. We already have Egypt from CAF. if Nigeria were the highest ranked we wont still stand a chance.

PDPGuy:
You can bet your top $$ that there would immense pressure from UEFA and/or FIFA World Cup sponsors to have Italy as the replacement team

Onyedika keeps it simple. But at the same time he doesn't make quick decisions, not good if the opposing side plays a high pressing game
