Your phone has an issue, this doesn't apply to all pixel device. I used Google pixel 6 twice before moving to pixel 9 now. I use my pixel 6 for Google meet and my type of meetings can even extend over 2hrs sometimes, I also use my phone regularly for slack huddle, never has my phone switched off for over heating for once, also try using more of wifi than using mobile data.

I can tell you the reason your phone heat up is your mobile data, has nothing to do with the update. If you think I'm lying switch to WiFi and do same thing you do on your mobile data and check if issue persists.

The 5g is not that stable in your area, so your phone switching and trying to connect to network whenever your data is on will contribute to what you are facing.

Also try to reduce how you use your phone while charging, better still remove your casing while charging as most times they trap heat and affect the phone temp.

I like as you mention "try using more wifi than mobile data", cos you know how hot those pixel phones get when you stress them.

I've used all the pixels with the tensor chip except this 10 series.

Pixels have always been known to get hot even if you don't push it to the extreme. Ever since i started using pixel 2 to my current pixel 7, na the same thing, o gbona feli feli.You'll get used to it and adapt. lol. I doubt if I can ever use another smartphone than a pixel.

It's only active on MTN my Airtel or Glo still show LTE
