⁶Super Eagles’ 🦅🇳🇬 FIFA World Cup qualifying run: 🥺

🧑🏻‍🏫 Jose Peseiro:
Nigeria 🇳🇬 1-1 Lesotho 🇱🇸
Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 1-1 Nigeria 🇳🇬

• 2 games
• 2 points

🧑🏻‍🏫 Finidi George:
Nigeria 🇳🇬 1-1 South Africa 🇿🇦
Benin Republic 🇧🇯 2-1 Nigeria 🇳🇬

• 2 games
• 1 point

🧑🏻‍🏫 Eric Chelle:
Rwanda 🇷🇼 0-2 Nigeria 🇳🇬
Nigeria 🇳🇬 1-1 Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Nigeria 🇳🇬1-0 Rwanda 🇷🇼
South Africa 🇿🇦 1-1 Nigeria 🇳🇬
Lesotho 🇱🇸 1-2 Nigeria 🇳🇬
Nigeria 🇳🇬 4-0 Benin Republic 🇧🇯

• 6 games
• 14 points

3 consecutive draws and 1 loss at the start… d@mn it!! 😱

Our foundation was terribly poor, and horrible home and away draws against Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 only made things worse for Nigeria.

Missing consecutive FIFA World Cups is a pain Nigerians 🇳🇬 won’t forget anytime soon.

you are 💯 ri
ght. To me he is not a bad player but not up to the level he is been hyped here by nerdy in particular
Onyedika disappointed me in the AFCON semi - final. I had so much hope in him. I won't write him off due to Osayi because Osayi surprised me. Onyedika needs to be more aggressive and confident.
Iwobi is not aggressive but he's grown in confidence.

We the fans have to also encourage some of these players

Nigeria has now missed out on two consecutive World Cups (2022 and 2026). This is a serious setback, and if we are not deliberate and strategic moving forward, we risk missing out again in 2030.
To avoid repeating the same mistakes, we must begin preparations well ahead of the 2030 qualifiers, which start in March 2027. Two critical areas need urgent attention:
1. Stadium Infrastructure and Home Advantage
We must prioritize building or renovating at least two standard, world-class stadiums with top-quality facilities. These stadiums should meet international standards comparable to what we see in countries like Morocco.
Additionally, home matches should be scheduled for evening hours (6pm or later). This will give our player many of whom are based in Europea more familiar playing environment in terms of weather and pitch conditions, thereby maximizing our home advantage.
If achieving this within the required timeframe is not feasible, then the NFF should formally engage CAF or FIFA to approve an alternative home venue, such as Morocco, where we can benefit from better facilities and playing conditions. Recent qualifiers have shown that we perform better away from home than on poor pitches domestically this must be addressed decisively.
2. Professional and Independent Team Management Structure
We need to establish a competent and independent Super Eagles management team focused solely on off-field operations. This body should handle logistics, player welfare, match bonuses, travel arrangements, and overall coordination.
By removing administrative inefficiencies and ensuring timely execution of all operational matters, the team can focus fully on performance. This management unit should work directly with the government to ensure proper funding and accountability.
This is a call to action. Anyone with access to the NFF or relevant authorities should help ensure that these recommendations are heard and acted upon. The future of Nigerian football depends on intentional planning and decisive leadership.
Planning, structure, organization are things that require discipline and long term effort. Unfortunately the Nigerian mind finds these things too painful to practice. We believe in jaga jaga and wuru wuru to the answer.

UAE or Italy are the most likely countries to replace Iran should they withdraw from the World Cup. A decision will need to be made by mid-April.
Iran should not withdraw. Their presence at the WC will add spice to the tourney just as their encounter with USA in France 98 created lots of buzz.

corruption is a world wide phenomenon to be honest. Look at the recent minnesota child care fraud. That is the one uncovered ooo. The difference between african corruption and european corruption is just aesthetics in my opinion. Same devils just different skin tones.
Somalians were at the heart of the fraud in Minnesota. Not a good example to back your point

Let's remove sentiments. they got a high profile coach. And they are paying him top dollars. I'm sure they wont owe him salaries. while I think our brothers are just going for exhibition, we still need to admit that they are better in football administratively.
How are they better than us administratively?
