This period is probably the worst time for any politician to be a Minister. The President has refused to fund Ministries for two years, and Ministers have little to steal from, because it is only overhead release that Ministies get from Government, no capital. Ministers earn less than ₦1,000,000.00 per month. I think it is plausible for any politician ( Minister) with a sizeable support base to resign and pursue a career in an elective position. |
