Plateau do that too. I thought it's only Igbos that do that. Though Christianity has stopped all that. When a Reverend comes for burial prayers, he will make sure no such items is in the coffin like Cutlass, gun powder or Torch 🔦 before he will say prays and bury the dead.

Do you know you can wait for the dead to speak to you the midnight after the death and the burial occur? This is a practice amongst the traditionalists. If you have the mind, wait for the spirit of your love one who died under unclear circumstances.
