This is pure joy, grit, and real love! 🇳🇬
A super excited Nigerian mum gives a shaky handheld tour of their brand-new “home” — a raw, uncompleted block building with bare cement walls, exposed wiring, and mattresses laid straight on the floor.

You can feel her pride and relief as she walks through every room, beaming ear-to-ear, calling her husband her hero, and celebrating the fact that they finally own their own space instead of struggling to pay rent every month. Her kids are right there with her, happy and full of energy.
No fancy tiles, no paint, no finishing… just freedom, ownership, and unbreakable teamwork. In these tough economic times, this family chose “mine” over temporary comfort — and her happiness says it all!

This video is proof that starting small with your own roof over your head beats renting forever. The comments are flooding with love, pledges of cement, tiles, cash, and prayers — real community support in action!

If this inspired you, drop a ❤️, share it, and tag someone building their own legacy.
God bless this beautiful family 🙏🏿

My aunt did the same thing a some years ago.

The problem with the increase in house rent also lies within the fact that house agents are the crazy folks behind it.

For some time now, I've been contemplating packing out of this my present apartment, but ordinary self-contain,these criminals who don't have an idea of the current price of a bag of cement called agents have just made me to have a change of mind, and it seems I ain't leaving here anytime soon.

Unfortunately the price of cement has now skyrocketed to #12k per bag in some region.

The cost of building house now no child's play

Happy for them sha. They are still better than many .

Was shocked when I saw some slums in Abuja. Was wondering how they brush, procreate and even sleep with the odours.

Please repeat after me:

There is no housing crisis here, which is why those allowed into our governments, are building concrete roads for us.

Don’t let people deceive you. Pictures of uncompleted roads are now legal tender Naira for paying rent and other things. grin shocked

I'm relocating to the village by next week.

But if I'm able to pay this year's rent, I'll have no issues with subsequent payments. I just need a leverage now. It's Just a room

3 years ago, I moved into my house with this same exact structure. Hmmmm how time flies. It was not comfortable but there was so much peace of mind that came with it. I'm glad I kept old fotos so I cld sometimes reflect on how God has been faithful.

Madam, don't worry, within a short time, you'll look back and just smile at God's mercies and faithfulness. Nigeria is not for the weak.
