This generator nearly took my precious life all in the quest for power supply because NEPA won't always deliver I almost 'whyned' my way to the great beyond because the 'whyner' once fell off the rotating shaft at very high speed and it instantly turned into a projectile! Technology has really changed over the years... Now at the push of a button... even remotely you can put on a generator. Sometimes from a distance. My dad had 2 of these in the 90s/20s... I became a pro in whining and starting them. They are still somewhere rotting away right now as I speak. The one I used personally in school (off campus) was that small I better pass my neighbor that can smoke. I bought for 7k... the last thing I prized that heirloom I was 16k. Now I'm sure it would be pushing 100 or close! 42 Likes |

The iron they use in staring it got stocked to the wheel and the lister was working. Foolish me, instead of offing the gen before removing the starter, i miscarpon used my hand like that. Neighbor had it and any time they start the gen, we won't be able to talk to each other in our own house without shouting. Our louver glass windows at some point started cracking. Even our fence began to crack. The exhaust pipe was kind of facing our fenced compound so the smoke sometime could be troubling even inside bedroom Omoorrrr it was a real traumatic scene whenever them on the gen sha o 58 Likes 2 Shares |

We used to call it jomi jomi (water eater). All the floor will be full of black oil mixed with water, smelling. Then, big whinner requires great skill to operate otherwise it can hit you hard. It is a low running generator. The output is not stable. The only advantage is cost of purchase and low maintenance cost as it consumes low diesel 56 Likes |

I once met a very very beautiful slayqueen back then, she was damnnn gorgeous and everything was perfectly made on her, not until when I visited her family house. On one evening she needed to go and start this monster herself, I went ahead of her knowing I was ironman. This machine disgrace me that evening. She was just laughing away while I was sweating fruitlessly to start the monster. Eventually her dad showed up and instructed her to start it, she moved in and boom gen start oh. Very funny experience. So there is this our neighbor that works in the bank. He parks his car in our compound cos no space in his own compound to accommodate his car. So that fateful morning, he was going to work, all dressed in suit and tie and well polished shoe. He came to pick his vehicle to move out, that was when my mom wanted to put on the gen. She tried to no avail, na so this man say make hin come help her. He took the whiner (Na wetin we dey call that thing whey dem dey use roll the gen). As he was whining the gen na so the machine hold am for tie begin dey strangle am. Na unto God intervention and the shouting from my mom that alert the other neighbors na so that man for die that day. My mama for go write long statement for police station. I am sure the man learnt his lesson not to attempt wetin you no sabi all in the name of say you want to be kind. Its the best of the best. We have been using our own since 2006.low diesel consumption. Infact, a liter of diesel is almost 2 liters of petroleum in terms of consumption. A liter is almost 2 hours.heavy duty for freezer and one A.c together with other normal appliances. If u wan iron, one of freezer of AC go dey put off. Low noise and very easy and simple work to maintain, thats if at all. I can bet that 8k a year for maintainance is even too high for it. Just change oil every 4 months 6 Likes 1 Share |

This generator in our days was mostly Lister. Used for powering house, grinding and molding blocks. It is called water and diesel, whinning can send you to early grave, if whiner break, the jaw like structure can be like Samason's weapon of MD. 7 Likes |
