Atleast he still got strong allies in the North. Please tell us the Strong Allies your Atiku has in the South that will make us vote him.
Be more concerned about Peter Obi. Obi defeated Tinubu in the South and will defeat him again in 2027. If Tinubu loses his Northern votes, where will his votes come from? The North gave him 63% (5.6m) of his votes. Mind you, if he repeats his muslim-muslim ticket he will lose the little ground he has gained in the middlebelt.

Tinubu's plan is to scatter every opposition, and once that has been achieved (in his wildest dreams), then he'll choose any candidate he like as running mate since he'll not have any significant opposition. Shettima is unlikely to run with him for 2027 and he knows he'll be vulnerable to more sabotage and that scares him.

However it's all dead on arrival because with what I currently observe in the North and part of the South (esp. S.E), anyone who attempts to rig for any politician will be swiftly sent to their maker. People are very hungry and angry!

Story for the demons!!!

As there be anytime in Nigeria democratic history the North has ever e on any Suthern president side? Hell No.

Gej was constantly under the North attacks since he became Vice President and you the North intensify your onslaught on Gej till you raised a gang that removed him untimely, dame atiku was involved.

Shockingly Buhari came you the North went mute all we are hearing was rankadede, while Buhari ruined it all, cow became Prime Minister under him, Nigeria collapsed under him completely no single pim from you the North.

Now it's Tinubu and now same Southern must not rule in peace template against obj, Gej started same atiku again but this time e go red.

The same way OBJ lost the north after his 1st term in 2003. By refusing to do the bidding of the northern oligarchs only. By insisting on allowing development and government appointments to reach all the 6 geopolitical zones in reality and not on paper.

Same thing PBAT is doing with his 1st term.

Please tell the northern oligarchs to wait for their time in 2031.

Kindly take the message back to the sender.

Every man got his own theory, whether true or foolish.

With 32 governors behind him, it will be very hard to beat Tinubu. The governors and the LGA chairmen want the good times they are presently enjoying continue. The financial windfalls they are currently enjoying due to the ending of fuel subsidies and the floating of the Naira

The local governments are benefitting from direct allocstions, rather than through the state governments.

If Tinubu wants to win the North with a landslide, is if he can end banditry and the menace of killer herdsmen.
Governors have limited capacity in presidential elections. In 2023, we all saw a lot of governors failing to deliver their states to their party. Besides that, all the 32 governors might be with him in body, but not in spirit. Tinubu knows why he wants no viable opposition contesting against him despite the governors. He knows his love isn't organic but coerced, as he inspires nothing. Nothing to worry, his southwest brothers will make him president.

Keffi -akwanga-makurdi
Zungeru hydro electric
Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) gas pipeline
Kano maradi rail
Oil exploration in Gombe (Kolmani oil fields)

No president has done more capital projects after President Shehu Shagari followed by President Buhari 📌💯🙌
Keffi/Akwanga/Makurdi is the sweetest highway you can drive on in Nigeria. God bless Buharis soul.
Re: How Tinubu Won And Lost The North By Salihu Tanko Yakasai by Reference(m): 1:15pm On Apr 07
Losing north, gaining east....all these are irrelevant.
Weigh the government on the scales of performance and performance alone and this country will be alright.

Ask yourself whether you are better off as an individual or a collective and then decide as a dispassionate judge whether you wish to continue that trajectory or not.

Because the simple truth is that the running of government cannot get fundamentally better in the second elective term. No two term democracy works like that anywhere in the world. Second terms are usually poorer than the first. Even governments operating through multi term, parliamentary style democracies experience the laws of diminishing returns.

And they are most likely to double down on whatever errors they make because a win to them is an affirmation of their ways.

Nigerians should make government work extra, extra, extra hard for their mandate. That is only fair, after all they reward and compensate themselves without measure.

Objs projects were even. He wasn't parochial or clannish in appointments, and till date, most of his kinsmen haven't forgiven him because of his nationalism. He had a very strong southern support. Can you in all honqesty say the same about the incumbent today? Even most of his kinsmen are groaning because everything is concentrated in Lagos. Hows that fair?

Lolz, me online voter? I doubt you even have a PVC. The first three states you mentioned are currently a nightmare for any ballot snatcher. Please do short vox pop in any of those three states and you'll know what's going on.

In one of those states, clear warnings have already been given that NOBODY should bring spaghetti and 200ml groundnut oil to come and campaign, else they'll be flogged and chased away. People are campaigning for free in those states.

Igbos' hardly pay Soludo any attention. They'll vote their choice and send useless street born-throways who attempt to snatch ballot boxes back to his maker.

In Kano, Abba has already lost his goodwill. Gawuna is already smiling in a corner. I won't be surprised if he has sew his inauguration agbada. cheesy

In Kaduna, most grassroot politicians have joined the ADC. I'm talking of young rugged politicians that'll give Uba Sani a run for his money. You don't know anything. When last did you hear anything from him? cheesy cheesy

Isa Ashiru's residence from 2027 is the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.

FCT residents will naturally vote against Tinubu, they are as sophisticated as that. Tinubu should forget the FCT.

You think this is a joke? If you doubt me, follow the news in months to come.

Save your breath; the train has already left the station. If Tinubu could still prevent the loss of the north, El-Rufai would not be in jail right now. The north has long since made up its mind about what needs to be done, and Ahmed Tinubu is well aware of this. This is why he is determined to decimate the ADC and other opposition parties, despite having forced additional governors to join his APC, bringing the total to 32.

Very funny people. angry

Too many half truths in this article all in a bid shore up pointless sentiments.

1. The reason Tinubu went for a Muslim-Muslim ticket is that, for now, a Southern Muslim-Northern Christian presidential ticket will not fly in the North.
This is Politics 101 that any serious politician in Nigeria should know.

Same reason MKO's ticket was a Muslim-Muslim one.

2. El-Rufai’s exclusion from cabinet is a story that would be told some day.

3. Ganduje has been adequately compensated, and is still being compensated.
His removal as APC chairman was a political strategy. It was also to manage global perception of the administration. Same reason a Muslim Badaru was replaced with a christian as minister of defense to fix the 'christian killings' narrative.

4. Malami and Emefiele were never on Tinubu's side.
Plus, Malami was one of the biggest abusers of office and embezzler of funds in Buhari's regime.

Neutral people, and serious politicians know this.

5. /The insecurity thing Northern elites used to poison people's mind towards GEJ will not work this time around. Everyone is wiser now/.

6. There's no Northern gang up against Tinubu. He has also gained more grounds in the South and middle-belt.
Make una carry power of incumbency play.

Bookmark this article, if things stay as there are, Tinubu's victory in 2027 will be resounding that even the deaf will hear it from a mile.
so you admit some people are wiser than you lots because when some tribe knew the game plan you never believed because Goodluck is not your kinsman.

All this “Tinubu this, Tinubu that” talk… you couldn’t defeat him in 2023 despite the coordinated social media attacks, propaganda, currency redesign, endless court cases, and political gimmicks. It was the same tired script and playbook, and it all collapsed like a pack of cards. Now you’ve started again, history is about to repeat itself. This time, you’ll face a decisive defeat and learn the hard way.

I don't think obi will get half of the votes he got in 2023 again. Instead of him to build on his 2023 near success, he abandoned LP (typical of him) he has jumped to another party to be in bed with people he once called the coalition of aggrieved criminal structure.

The man is very inconsistence. His recent action has really exposed the kind of person he is. He may still retain his block votes in the sad yeast but many yorubas will rather vote tinubu this time around.

His defeat in the North started from the day he betrayed Elrufai. All those who deceived him to do away with Elrufai because of 2031, promising they can deliver the North, are now nowhere to be found. Where is his heir apparent, Ribadu? Lessons. They are now desperate to run unopposed because going through the ballot is apparently no longer a feasible option.
El Rufai was most relevant in the build up to the election. However, in the election proper, APC lost Kaduna in the Presidential election, lost numerous National assembly seats, and very narrowly won the gubernatorial election.
Or you want to pretend you don't know how much he is despised especially in southern Kaduna?

APC will perform way better in Kaduna come 2027 than they did in 2023. You can bookmark this.
