Nigerians will continue to repeat the same mistake. Nobody go teach una. When Buhari got there, they all of a sudden remembered that he had always used his UK doctor for a long time.

Every developed and semi-developed nation on Earth has more doctors, nurses, pharmacists, soldiers, police officers, sensible leaders, etc, than Nigeria!

...Even with far fewer Populations!

To make matters worse, many more healthcare professionals are planning to leave Nigeria as we speak.

I was shocked in 2023 when a doctor in Auchi sold his hospital and relocated to the UK with his Family.

He was a strong critic of the West but I was surprised he didn't relocate to Saudi, Iran, Pakistan or China

Has more orthodox physicians than Nigeria, you mean.

They will probably have more than China and India too.

Ayuvderic,Chinese Traditional Medicine and African Traditional Medicine have more licensed practitioners than UK has for orthodox medicine yet Chinese, Indians and Nigerians are healthier , stronger and have more access to healthcare outside the orthodox medicine.

Do not be decieved or let arrogance mixed with obscene ignorance destroy you ,orthodox medicine is not the only access to healthcare delivery and there are still tonnes and tonnes of fatally-unanswered questions in orthodox medicine too.
There are even UK citizens who do not patronize orthodox medicine for these obvious reasons.

Give us statistics of where the Drs come from, I mean their nationality.

A couple of them are Nigerians, this is to tell you that if care is not taken, our leaders will make Nigeria become a much failed state

If you deport all Nigerian Doctors in UK, UK will not have as much doctors as Nigeria lol. Anyways, how is this news? Is UK Economy the same as Naija? The small UK is controlling insurance for ships all over the world. Our so-called former colonial masters never left us alone...they just controlled the world in other ways.

Why is this is a surprise to us as Nigerians?

There is literally no sector where we have enough workforce, except for political offices. I bet we have more politicians than doctors in Nigeria.

Police- understaffed, even the little available are taken by politicians, VIPs and expats for personal security.

Military - grossly understaffed and ill equipped. These guys even have to buy their own uniforms from their meagre $75 monthly salary.

Public schools - understaffed. The only saving grace is NYSC posting to rural communities. Even in the mighty Lagos, public schools have to use non-teaching staff for teachers in primary schools in several cases cos Alausa (LASG) rarely recruits teachers cos they don't wanna pay salaries- I know this cos I have people working for Lagos state government. Alausa is highly culpable and corrupt!

Hospitals- obviously understaffed.

Waste management - LAWMA for instance is a case study. They are trying, but they lack strategy and dynamism. Just packing and dumping with drug addicted PSP truck drivers.

Well, over 50% of them won't be in the UK for starters, if we developed this nation in all aspects.

A doctor in the UK doesn't fear for his life everyday he goes out to work... Nor does he get harassed regularly by law enforcement or the military.

I know Japarians that relocated solely for the sake of safety.

The report did not factor in our native doctors o.

Nigeria has more native doctors than the UK.
