What can we call this now...
I actually laughed when I saw the Rice packaging but then it is a strategy from the company bagging this Rice.

Look at all these Drinks in Sachet now selling for #100, can you go back in time and imagine how they were packaged?

It is just to get the product closer to the grassroots in terms of affordability.

Now, you can buy company packaged Rice instead of going to the market and buy the ones measured in Tin cups...

DeLaRue:
Are middle class people not buying satchets of cornflakes? Why not satchets of rice.

People who have a bit of stew now know they can eat their normal - size plate of rice for just N300.

Even working people who have a bit more cash can opt for this. Mama, Papa, plus 3 kids, that's 5 satchets for N1500. Everyone chop clean mouth.

Whether you take your raw rice from a 50kg bag, or a 130g satchet, once it is cooked, rice na rice.

Big companies are not stupid. This company has done their research. They know 130g is enough per person.

This thing will sell.
Absolutely.

Better strategy for the bagging company.
