That Umar Sadiq's miss is the highlight of his career, a very odd and ungainly player.

We may not need Kingsley Ehizibue again, he will be 31 next month.

🇳🇬🦅 Alessandro Marcandalli Eyeing Super Eagles Switch. Genoa centre-back Alessandro Marcandalli, born to an Italian father and Nigerian mother, is having a standout season in Serie A and catching the NFF’s eye. The 23-year-old has been key in Genoa’s defense and is open to representing Nigeria.

Marcandalli has fond memories of Nigeria, from family visits to loving his mother’s jollof rice, and says the decision to switch nationalities will be personal. With Nigeria’s defense in transition, he could be a crucial addition alongside stars like Calvin Bassey and Emmanuel Fernandez.

You guys are not tired of heartbreak.
They will win the first match 5:0 and then loose the final when hope would have been raised to high heavens.

But on a serious note, Iran will probably make it to the tournament. I expect the US and Iran to enter another round of talks in May and by then the tension should be over.

Bright Osayi Samuel was solid all through by the way for Birmingham. Had a fine 90mins.

TheSuperNerd:
Unfortunately, Arthur Okonkwo's second half was sour. 1 save made. 1 error led to goal. 2 goals conceeded.

Back to back games with errors. Needs to get a grip on things, Arthur.

if same confederation is your argument, there are group pairings that already displace that theory.
England and croatia
Bosnia and Switzerland
Netherlands and sweden
France and Norway.
They are all from uefa and also in the same group.

I don't rate Ethan Nwaneri. But following the dynamic and somewhat unpredictable nature of football, he may still come good.

NFF will not roll carpet for him. If he wants to play for Nigeria, he knows the route to follow.

If I'm not mistaken I think UEFA is the only confederation that's allowed to have 2+ teams in the same group, because the number of entrants from there is more than the number of groups.
