Alapereketu:Your sister doesn’t need to do all of this. They won’t even attend to your request to update your itinerary. You’re literally going to call tls, they are not even with your documents and are not going to reach the embassy because (no offense) ‘Sharon’s’ intended travel date has passed, they handle hundreds of applications everyday. The only thing you can call them for is to withdraw your application and receive your passport back immediately in case of urgent travel elsewhere. Just sit tight and wait. The fact that your travel date has passed doesn’t mean you’ll have a higher chance of denial. They will adjust the valid from date according to the date of approval. Also, you are not meant to buy flight ticket. A dummy ticket booking is enough for you to present your case and secure your visa. |

Lekan2348:I understand that my question is should the hotel reservation be extended or should the flight reservation be extended. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Lekan2348: 1:43am On Apr 14 |
Izzyjoy24:My answer points towards the fact that you should not do that. Sit back, relax and wait for your visa decision. If you can cancel and get a refund now that will be the best position for you to be in |

Hello House. I have a confirmed TLS appointment for May but I need to change the France-Visas application that is linked to it. I tried to delete the TLS appointment and create a new one but the TLS site won’t let me. I called TLS yesterday and today. They keep saying the site is down, that I should check back tomorrow or I should call the embassy. Has anyone been in this position? What would you suggest? I can’t use the current France-visas that is tied to the appointment because travel plans have significantly changed (travel dates etc). |

ifax:Has anyone booked an Abuja appointment this year? They stopped it 17/11/25, it was stated on the TLS site. The message is currently no longer showing on the TLS site.

mrbourdillon:Good thing that the site did not allow you. It should continue like that. Otherwise, that is how some people will commercialize the appointments and bastardize the process like they did to the US visa appointments. Using different applications to tie down appointment slots and then now changing the application tied to the appointment when there is a willing buyer. My 2 cents: cancel the appointment, cancel the application and start afresh. TLS site is up as of today. |

Hi! Need to be in Switzerland this summer and just found out they moved appointment bookings to VFS. There are no available dates on their vfs portal with no indication of future dates, has anyone gone through this new processs? what was it like? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Nobody: 12:26am On Apr 15 |
Sageofekiti:The lack of available dates on the VFS portal is due to high demand, and appointments are strictly first-come, first-served. VFS typically releases slots six weeks in advance. You must continuously check the portal for cancellations or new slot releases, as there is no waitlist feature. |

Nothing yet ooo..Its already 39 calendar days. Does anyone have their call number or email to reach out? Thank God I applied way ahead of the trip but the wait is tiring Dottune: |

FeyoNadal:Omo my own travel date is close. Let's see how it goes today. I think TLS has a contact number on their website. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by FeyoNadal: 10:40am On Apr 15 |
I think you should reach out ASAP to them. Except if your trip is flexible and you can travel after your current proposed date passes Dottune: |

Hi, If the information you want to change on the France-Visas form are travel details (dates, accommodation, etc.), TLS can change these details on the day of your appointment. All the best! mrbourdillon: |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mrbourdillon: 11:53am On Apr 15 |
agabusta:My mistake: their system/backend is down, not the front end website. I just called yet again and it’s still the same thing. I have deleted the appointment but I need to wait for their system to get back up in order to delete the application and create a new one. TLS is an incompetent vendor and it’s a shame that France won’t change them. I remember having similar issues last year. Yes you’re right, many Nigerians tend to abuse processes and it causes the remaining innocent ones to suffer. It’s such a shame. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mrbourdillon: 11:54am On Apr 15 |
VisaZest:Thanks, I hear you, but I’d rather play very safe. I have already deleted the old France visas application and created a new one. The trip isn’t urgent at all. I’ll just follow the proper process. |

Supernatural198:To apply for a French Schengen visa, start by creating an account on the France-Visas website to fill out your application form and book an appointment. As a self-employed business owner, you must submit comprehensive documentation proving your business activity, financial stability, and strong ties to your home country. Passport: Original passport valid for at least three months after your intended departure date from the Schengen area, with at least two blank pages. Old Passports: Include any old passports to show previous visa history. Application Form: Duly completed and signed Schengen application form. Photos: Two recent passport-sized photos meeting ICAO standards. Travel Insurance: Policy covering emergency medical care, hospitalization, and repatriation with a minimum coverage of €30,000. Itinerary: Flight booking (temporary reservation is acceptable) and hotel booking or proof of accommodation. |
