Someone complain about this same issue some weeks back with GT fund manager. I have not made any recent deposit to gt. I think u should copy SEC since they are not responding to emails. Since March 30th is 2 weeks already. Name on account number is GT squad right?
Yes, the name is GT squad, I even asked them to send me an account statement but they didn’t. Will copy SEC like you suggested. Thank you

I didn't initiate withdrawal. I expected prime pro to send it to stash or bank account as instucted upon filling online form

I'm just hearing this 🤔 when did you initiate withdrawal?have you tried calling their customer care line?
Re: Mutual Funds by sky404: 1:29pm On Apr 13
Are you sure?

Check well, that's likely before they deduct their fees.

I chatted them. They said WYSIWYG. What I see topped up to my 5k investment correlates with my calculations.

On the question of how they are able to pay higher, they sent to me their factsheet but I'm unable to interpret well. As at December: 0.7% cash, 20.6% commercial paper, 25,1% treasury bills, 53.6% fixed deposits. The returns from each of this instrument wasn't mentioned.
65% of the instruments were maturing within 0-90days, 28% 91-180days,
7% 181-364days. And the YTD return was 20.67% against benchmark of 17.21%.
Can you make meaning from these numbers?
Good then.

Did you indicate your customer ID on the narration when sending the money?

In fact, most fund managers had been battling and struggling on how to trace and locate investors deposit into their mutual fund accounts, because some new investors often forget to write ✍️ their customers ID on the narration when sending money.

It is not always the fund managers who are slow in responding to our requests, some of us don't just follow the right procedures to make things easier for us and fund managers.
Thanks for this. If i were a fund manager, i would even be rejecting some customers. Apart from glitches here and there, many times customers are complicit in delays except its a notorious fund manager.

Also people lack conflict resolution skills. They rather send emails or come here to complain. Emails are the least effective way to engage. A simple phone call would do and many folks dont know they can also ask to speak with the supervisor of the customer care asistant that picks.

Something as simple as, when should i call back and what’s your name so i can ask of you places the burden of resolution on the customer care agent that attends to you. Never accept “we are working on it as an answr” Demand to know what happened and how it will be resolved and when and by whom

I commend your restraint regarding the guy that attacked you unprovoked.

I see STL and Trustbanc MMF give rate in excess of 19% whereas other like Stanbic gives below 16%.

Considering that treasury bill hovers around 16%, how is STL able to generate this high rate?

Does anyone have link to their factsheet? I have not seen their factsheet in the online app.
It's possible since they are NEW in the market and don't have much customers like the big players, they choose to earn less while giving higher interest rates so as to attract more customers. Most new businesses does similar. Even Glo and Etisalat came into the market with new things (lower prices and features) to attract customers. Existing big players ain't under such pressure.

Add to it that most finTechs have way less staff + lower operating costs hence no much of an issue for them.
Re: Mutual Funds by bassdow: 4:09pm On Apr 15

Norrenberger has refused to pay me for like 3 days now.
Atimes when they allow things accumulate, they either later pay them out combines (e.g 3 days worth at same time) or just skip paying them completely.

With fund manager that regularly skips days, it helps to often have your calculator in hand + have idea of their current interest rates so you could manually calculate things yourSelf. it's only way to know if they later paid or not.
Re: Mutual Funds by bassdow: 4:15pm On Apr 15

If all you're investing is 5M, 2 classes is best. Depending on your risk appetite:
Aggressive: EMF & Balanced (50/50, or 60/40)
Moderate: fixed income & balanced (60/40)
Conservative: fixed income & balanced. (70/30)

This is given for perspective. Do your own research.
I only gave suggestions WHILE also pointiing out they need not fear some equity backed options that much BECAUSE so long they don't attempt to redeem while on lower earning, they have lost NOTHING.

AnyOne is free to use exactly as I pointed out or mix their own ratio

Few times I made such mistake with people's account, Stanbic called around 3pm or later to clarify. Now why would a fund manager hold onto your funds for over a month without bothering to find out who actually made the payment ?

Equity fund is even cheaper than mmf
Most fund managers only require 1k naira or 1000 units which is less than 2k. I think only zrosk does around 5m, the rest are between 1k to 5k naira.
