I don't celebrate mediocrity, it's their duty to provide us with infrastructures.

Celebrating these things to me translates to them doing us a favour......All of them should getat!

Easy and quick to find info and even videos that aids clarity. Key is having a knowledge-seeking and inquisitive mind instead of awaiting answers from others that you can get for yourself.

That's not how to look at things. Commend positive development when you see it to encourage leaders to do more.

No one says you should throw a Party for Umahi but graciously appreciating his effort would be nice.

Some people are ignorant. Here in the USA, they mark them as historic buildings and you are not allowed to demolish them for new buildings so as not to eliminate their histories. We see early civilizations as negative...when they ought to be celebrated.

Exousiang01:
Enugu is an ancient city.
It was already partly developed during the colonial times
Just like Ibadan was the largest city in Africa during the colonial times.
It is only an illiterate that looks at a city with storey buildings and roof that are hundred years old and then insult the city instead of appreciating the early civilization.

In the city of London, Paris, Istanbul, Rome, Madrid and other major cities around the globe we have these old buildings, hundreds of years old.
These same set of Nigerians gi there take pictures and kiss the walls, but when they see buildings of the same age in South West Nigeria, they throw insults....
Please give me the definition of hate again

And you think the market in Emene is bigger than the one at Ibadan?

Like I said, tell it to those who call Ibadan a brown roof city.

Bottom line is, we should learn to respect ourselves and one another to avoid always explaining ourselves.

If the "Brown roof" stuff was not a thing, all these explanations would have not been necessary.

I'm speaking from a neutral point by the way cos I am neither Igbo nor Yoruba.

Salam, Shalom, Peace ✌️

Obviouslyblunt:
this place is considered a village in Enugu, it’s just opportune to be by the highway.
Baba those are early civilized locality in Enugu don't try to diminish the area
It's not an offense that it has brown roofs. It's kids who don't understand that some places developed very early especially during colonization will insult a place like this the way they do to Ibadan.

Any Nigerian politician waiting for my commendation is simply wasting their time---they don’t even know I exist anyway.

They should do what they were elected, appointed or selected to do and move on......Dem never born the politician wey I go stand for sun or rain to support, even my ancestors wouldn't be happy with me if I try that nonsense.

On election day I can decide to come out from my house, vote for a preferred candidate and quietly return home. Voting is the only way I show my support, it's left for them to deliver on their promises.

Ibadan or Enugu? The roof though.
It's Emene, an Enugu suburb. The houses you see are stores. The flyover crosses an Eke village market - though the government is demolishing the old stores and telling the sellers to relocate to a new location

Old houses with brown roofs occupied by humans in Nigeria signify poverty. The houses in the picture are people's stores in a village market where the flyover crosses.

Government has relocated them and the state government is demolishing the stores. Many of the sellers refused to leave, saying its their ancestoral Eke market

You lie a lot. The government is not demolishing any store there. That place is part of Enugu city.

enugu has been experiencing rare and light rainfall as of recent,u can see how dusty the environment is considering the tremendous road construction ongoing on that axes. Most likely why the roofs looks the way they re,moreover this is a market area.

This is outskirt of Enugu town, hence the roof and building, the flyover and road will eventually speed up the development

How many pictures of the road can you use to pay for the subsidy forced on you by APC’s massive corruption in the oil sector since 2015, given Tinubu and Buhari’s failure to sell petrol at N70 or less huh

anonimi:
Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC

January 19, 2015

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.
