Officially left Stanbic funds and the dull interest rates. This year has not really smiled on their MMF, even with the compounding interest. Hopefully they will bounce back, because they will always be my first...

@Emmasoft really tried for me oo, i remember when i would spend hours on calls and chats with him, i was so adverse to any form of risk, i was so comfortable seeing my money in the traditional bank. But he managed to convince me, and when i jumped all legs in, there was no hold backs.
Then i wanted to see what all the other 7 funds in Stanbic were talking about, i moved into 6 of them with 1 toe, and moved back out when I didn't understand what was happening there.

Thanks to @EquityM/ CSblackpink who opened up the Equity thread, i observed for a long time, made little research, and then dove all in, even with the bloody red days sef.
If someone had told me i would be putting my money into a high risk investment like Equity in 2024 when i still dey research, i for don nod the person, because i know how long it took for me to join MMF o wey be low risk.

The moral lesson of this epistle is to start somewhere and build up your risk tolerance.

@Emmasoft and EquityM, if person never tell una thank you, this is me saying it. Una dey motivate person without asking for anything.
I probably would just focus on Equity this year, read up on the Stocks thread, maybe gather enough mometum, i fit begin to dey do my own trading from next year sef.

Money must be made.

Investment and Enjoyment

Don’t be deceived, investment doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy life.

It simply means being intentional with your money: spending on what truly adds value, practicing a bit of delayed gratification,
and positioning your money to start working for you over time.

Enjoy today, but don’t mortgage your future to do so. Find the balance.

Check my earlier post - 12 things to remember in 2026, specifically the month of November

Happy Sunday to every investor, and wishing you a week of green portfolios.

Can you please provide more details about the dollar fund?
Can I fund it with my Mastercard dollar card or how?
What is the holding period?
Does interest accrue daily like mmf?

Thanks

@Sophy17, please note the following about Norrenberger dollar fund:

The Norrenberger dollar fund is a mutual fund denominated in USD.
You can also do a top-up with any amount that can get you a unit.
The fund is price-based, unlike MMF, which is always 100. So, because of that, the value fluctuates but is not volatile like stocks.
The underlying asset is basically Eurobonds, hence the price fluctuation. It's currently $106.13.

Funding can be done by transferring from your dom account or by cash deposit into the fund manager's collection account.

Holding period is 90 days

Interest doesn't accrue daily, but dividends are paid every quarter, and value can also rise because the price can increase. As of January, the price was $105.

The minimum initial deposit is $550, while you can top up with a minimum amount that gets 1 unit.

You are free to reach out if you need more clarity.

I have no issues with you, but your chase of referrals on this platform is KING and becoming too much. Relax!!! Many people here introduce people to platform genuinely without the whole focus on referral

I see you as a referral hunter even though you drop tangle words once in a while, but you all about referrals and I'm not hiding my words at all

I assume as a supposedly investment advisor which some people see you as, you should give best advises and not just chase referrals.

Whats the current comparison of dollar mmf yielded better to naira mmf

If you even predicting Naira to depreciate, things like this should be noted not just Click on my link to get started

@welzyj2. Thank you for your candid feedback. I genuinely appreciate it. The fact that you took the time to read and respond to my post means a lot, and it also shows that the message is reaching a wide audience. Of course, people will always interpret content differently based on their perspectives, and I respect that.

I understand how my posts may come across, especially when referral links are included. However, my primary objective has always been to create awareness about investment opportunities and help individuals take practical steps toward building wealth. From the feedback, calls, and messages I receive, I believe the content is serving its intended purpose.

The inclusion of referral links is simply a convenient option for those who wish to get started; it is not the core focus of my engagement. Similar to how content creators may ask viewers to like, share, or subscribe, it does not take away from the value of the information being shared. Importantly, everyone has the freedom to decide, and there is absolutely no obligation to use any link.

In fact, I have advised many individuals who neither used my links nor invested through any platform I represent. My contact details are openly available, and anyone seeking guidance has always been able to reach out directly. Investment decisions are highly personal, and as such, meaningful financial advice is best given on a one-on-one basis rather than in general posts.

If you’ve followed my contributions across investment discussions, whether in stocks, treasury bills, or other instruments, you’ll notice that the goal has consistently been to educate, guide, and support. The referral links can also serve as a way for those who need additional guidance to stay connected on the same platform with me.

Ultimately, all my posts are meant for education, awareness, and guidance. Personalized advice remains available to anyone who chooses to reach out, and many who have done so can attest to the value they received.

Once again, thank you for your feedback; it is always welcome.

And yes, if you ever need investment guidance, feel free to reach out anytime.

Remember, making money without tears remains the goal!

Said my all actually.

I believe anyone who saw my post and wanting to make usd mmf decision at the moment will be guided on some beginning questions to ask you personally or do more research. Same way I raised a question abt liquidity when you raised SFSREIT.

My intention is just to guide investors on the platform and promote enough information here

Re: Mutual Funds by Iamblessed8888:

Why?
Slow growth. You’re better off converting that money to naira and converting back later on especially as there is no imminent threat of devaluation.

I made same mistake for years and it stunted my growth. YTD alone i’ve made more from my naira MMF that i did in 3 years or so with my dollar MMF.

Sometimes, he should try to tilt his message towards selling the best deal for his audience and not just the best product or best company to invest with. I guess that’s the premise of welzyj2 ‘s argument. Otherwise, he’s a solid and genuine fellow
