Wherever the money for needless wars comes from is a good start.

However beyond that, it is ignorant to argue that the USA cannot afford reasonable (not excessive) welfare schemes.
The war is what keeps us safe here to be prosperous in the first place. A nation without defence is no nation

Like I said show us where the money comes from. Should they tax more. Its ignorant to claim a nation can just print more money to spend on welfare

The US already has welfare that is reasonable. It does not need more

For ease of reference, I extract from that link, the words of Eisenhower -

"A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction. . . . American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. . . . This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. . . .Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. . . . In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."

LordReed posted a clip of Carl Sagan talking about the trillions of dollars spent by the USA in chasing cold war threats that never materialized some days ago.

Not saying security is not important but anyone who has a remote idea of what is spent by the US will know that it is silly to suggest that it cannot afford reasonable welfare programs. It most certainly can. Over and over again.

Secondly do you not understand that there are practical reasons for societies to invest in welfare other than just emotions?
You’re asking maga to reason

Tall ask

Do they have enough common sense to know that crime reduces when hunger at the base level is tackled?

Do they know that healthy happy citizens contribute more to society than overworked drained people?

Do know that in the long run, it’s cheaper to provide preventative measures than chase the aftermath? Be it in healthcare, in schools, infrastructural etc. anything you invest in to prevent deterioration will give you more bang for your buck down the line.

It is more cost effective than rebuilding from scratch or trying to fix a crack that gets to the root. But you’re making too much sense. If you stress him and try to get him to use his brain outside of regurgitating maga nonsense, he might short circuit and blow a fuse.

I'm being sarcastic specifically about the ID.
Politicians say VoterID will disenfranchise blacks who mostly vote democrats.
Regarding $30 entry,I'm pleased to note that special consideration have been made to accommodate everyone . Meanwhile
Given that the median household income for Black families in the U.S. is roughly $54,339 (compared to approximately $84,632 for White households), critics and community members have expressed concern that the record-setting ticket price could be a barrier for some

Of course I'm biased against Obama,

cococandy:
Because black people don’t have $30 and an ID?

It will never be well with whoever it was that has so successfully robbed you of your self esteem.

You really and truly do not think anything of yourself, do you? Who did this to you?

I don’t fight but I might make the exception this once. Just to gather the person that’s responsible for this low self esteem you’re exhibiting.

“Who will pay for social safety benefits for American citizens”?

Oh I don’t know. Whoever provides it to isreal (whose citizens have free healthcare and heavily subsidized college education btw).

Their money is good for developing their citizens by investing in free healthcare and cheap education but our money is good for sending to them for war.

Meanwhile our kids take loans at a young age to go to college.
I'm questioning the Holocaust right now!

I'm really really questioning the 6 million Jews number of deaths!

I've seen these evil Israelis lie bare faced again and again and again, seen how they have commandeered all social media apps, all TV networks and they continue to lie and lie and lie

So, it makes me wonder what did they lie about concerning the Holocaust and Hitler?

I grew up never to question the holocaust because of the persistent propaganda, but now with the evils and the killings they do and still do now in Gaza and Lebanon, and to the Palestinians, I think they are the one who started the Big Lie.

If so , how many should have been killed in order for it to be called a holocaust? Let me know your figure.

What’s known for certain is that other people were killed in the holocaust too. Black people, Romanian people, gypsies, gay people, At least 2 million polish people , disabled people, Jehovah’s Witnesses and other none aryans.

We just don’t talk about them as much. I don’t know how that happened. But you can clearly see whose suffering is considered important and whose is not.

That’s thing with siding with any kind of oppressors, they do not discriminate when it comes to harming anyone they considered unworthy. I wonder if any polish people at the beginning supported the Nazis, thinking that they would be exempt since they are not Jewish. Now look what happened to them too and no one talks about it.

Standard of living is still better in the UK.

-People don't go broke from medical bills in the UK.
-people don't get shot on the street by gangbangers, racists or police as guns are heavily restricted.
-people have better quality of food in the UK as European standards restrict companies from pouring all manner of toxic chemicals in foodstuffs. In America, crony capitalism/lobbying has left companies to do as they like.

Lastly, UK ranks better than USA in the Human Development Index. This means that the UK is more developed and has a better standard of living.
Lmao. Standard of living in the UK is comparable to the standard of living in, Zambia 😂😂😂

I’ve given up on unreasonable people long ago.

When I share what I share, it’s not to convince them because clearly you can tell they’re here to win arguments and not to actually say anything meaningful.

I share because of posterity’s sake. And in the off chance that someone who doesn’t know what’s going on might take the wrong message from their lies and propaganda.

US govt income is primarily from taxes. So how will the govt afford to pay for these welfare you desire?

Increase taxes? Or where? The top federal tax is 37% some states charge up to another 13% state tax, plus property tax, sales tax etc

So how much more of their income shoupd they pay up? 70% of their income, 80% or 100%

Instead of emotionally spazzing out tell where the money will come from

All those who want more taxes find it convenient to exclude themselves from those who should pay more

There is a reason why the US is the top destination for most people in the world and top innovators surely its not because they impose heavy taxes for welfare
There is a lot of waste . Are these not the same people who were against DOGE?
The welfare in America is designed to increase every year
One key area No budget can pass with the political divide and special interests.Every few months start with a fixed expenditure equal to the previous year's or period. Then Congress and Senate horse trade over what extras to load into until the next Continuing Resolution is passed. Again spending more than the taxman will collect, common to every country though.

Is this all you deduced from what I wrote - or wait - did you read what I wrote at all?
Because it does not seem to me that you saw the explanation as to how the position of the dollar in the global fiat money economy reduces the risks of the USA/ the dollar in such matters?

The most intelligent way to assess this is to put a ball park figure to what a reasonable welfare program will cost annually and assess the impact of introducing equivalent money supply into the economy in inflationary terms (considering the global position of the dollar as explained) and then assessing that inflationary risk against the benefits of the welfare programs.

That is what an intellectual will do.

How much more welfare do we need ? And how do we pay for it?

Has anyone seen Lord Adam in these parts since trump’s eff ups began?

That’s the thing with maga. They are so insincere and have no ability to be honorable. When breeze exposes their yansh, they slink away and pretend they never said the things that they did. They don’t apologize or seek to make it right.

Same guy rejoicing that Trump won not that long ago, is on a different thread saying that he’s a pdf and lamba master who should be in a nursing home.

So, would it have killed him to come here and admit he was wrong?

I know that he knew the truth from the beginning and was engaging in bad faith roundabout arguments from the get go. That’s why they’re not worth the time or the effort.

Hey basiloco i don't know who was angered by that but here's my response
I don't know whether you've been to any manufacturing factory.
Hitler built 6 extermination camps. Whereas a factory manufactures products these camps main activity was to quickly exterminate.
About Sobibor

The camp's layout functioned like a "conveyor belt of death," designed for victims to be killed within hours of arrival.

Transport Frequency:
Up to six train echelons could arrive daily, each carrying about 2,000 people.

Gas Chamber Throughput: The initial three gas chambers could hold about 160–180 people each. In the summer of 1942, these were replaced by six larger brick chambers, doubling the capacity to murder between 450–550 people in a single cycle.

Time per Cycle: The entire process—from the train's arrival to gassing and body removal—took only two to three hours.

Operational Efficiency by Design
Sobibor was notably compact, covering only about 150 acres (roughly 400 by 600 meters). Unlike larger complexes like Auschwitz, Sobibor did not need extensive housing because the vast majority of arrivals were killed immediately.

Railway Proximity: A dedicated railway spur led directly into the camp, allowing 20 freight cars to be processed at a time while others waited at the nearby station.
The "Pathway to Heaven": Victims were forced to run naked down a narrow, fenced-off path (the Schlauch) that led directly from the "reception area" where they undressed to the gas chambers in the "extermination area".
Limited Labor Force: Only about 600 to 1,000 prisoners were kept alive at any time, solely to facilitate the camp's operations, such as sorting stolen belongings or removing bodies.
