It's just 24hrs left for all intending candidates for the 27 elections to be in the party where they wish to contest elections.......this is a very note worthy clause in our electoral act aimed at checking rampant cross carpeting and party dual membership by politicians........these means we will only have one of atiku,obi or kwakwanso as presidential candidate in 2027 not the 3 way contest we had in 2023.

This is a great improvement to our electoral act and further strengthens our democracy, Nigerian democracy is now world's apart and far better than what we used to have in the early days of the 4th Republic,the BVAS,IREV and electronic transmission of results are all forms of advancement in our electoral processes, we can only get better.

Tinubu and his cohorts are so much afraid of a strong opposition. A government that performed well will have the people campaign for them. Abians are the ones challenging the Governor, but Tinubu is hiring people to promote his government. Nigerians have rejected Tinubu and his cohorts. A new Nigeria is POssible.

So are you telling me that no political party will accept any new member again after that day? How does that make any sense? It is clearly against the constitution of freedom of association as such the constitution wins

No sir,you are still allowed to move to any party of your choice but after tge deadline for the 2027 election, you will not be able to get ticket to run for election or vote at party congresses once the register has been submitted until the next round of elections in 31 or in case of a bye election.

I.e Peter obi moved to LP from PDP in 22 at the last minute when he couldn't get the party ticket but he got it in LP,that wouldn't be possible any longer once the party register has been submitted.

Hehehe and if you participate in primary election you can't contest in any political party obi you like it or not you must participate in primary election

You are free to join any political party of your choice after the deadline of submission of party registers, the Electoral Act forbid you contesting election after the submission of party register to INEC.
