I drive an Acura TL 2014, Sh-awd with the J37, 3.7L V6 engine

I get about 16.2mpg after driving 47miles from Gbagada to Sangotedo using the coastal highway

Whats your current MPG and what kind of engine do you use?

Converted to Liters per 100 kilometers, 16.2 mpg is 14.5Liters/100kilometers.

You know how coastal highway be now. I drove like 100-120km/hr. And this car is balanced on high speed, you wouldn't know you're going that fast

My daily driver is Peugeot 307, Manual gear, 1.6l engine, gives me 8L/100km combined, and am still tuning harder to get her down to at least 6.5-7L/100km.
Despite Zero heavy traffic in my state, We keep tuning!

It's estimate, but road conditions, driving pattern and few other factors may alter the outcome slightly.

Diesel cars are way more fuel economical and efficient than petrol cars , the main reason why diesel cars never really gained ground in Nigeria is because we have always until recently been buying petrol at cheap, subsidized rates.
In our neighboring countries like Cameroon that had no such subsidies, diesel vehicles were preferred.
While a diesel car can achieve a consumption rate of 6L to 7L per 100 Kilometers, the norm for petrol vehicles is anything from 10L/100KM.

Better do manual calculation if you wanna know your ACTUAL mpg

While fuel efficient they're not good for short trips like city driving. If you're not consistently driving highway forget diesel engines

Your car is fuel hungry. It consumes fuel a lot. The normal range should be 25MPG

Consumes 7L/100km
