1)we no longer depends on imported fuel,if not for dangote,with the war in Iran,we for dey buy for like #3k plus
2) it's help stabilize our currency,less naira chasing the dollar

The last official cross over night which I attended ( Over a decade ago), that pastor said, the same year you are complaining of things not working for you, some people are questioning why the sudden blessings.

How has Dangote Refinery helped Nigeria economy?

Anybody with basic knowledge of economics would know that:

1) the refinery has contributed to some extend in stabilizing the Naira as a result of urge foreign currencies especially US dollars flowing into the country through the refinery.

2) some Nigerians working in the refinery would probably have been jobless or underemployed if not for the refinery.

3) hope you know Dangote group paid N900 billion as tax to the federal government in 2025. The amount will likely double or even triple in few years time thanks to the refinery.

Are you still doubting that the refinery has helped Nigeria economy?

I legitimately fear for Alhaji's life. An Africa that extracts and refines its own oyel is a threat to the current world order.

Ha! Some posts above will give you an indication of how his refinery has benefited Nigeria. Without it, life would have been much tougher than it is today with so much pressure on forex and no fuel in sight.

No.... My biggest imagination is that a country's refinery is not functioning. But a personal man refinery is functioning. Again the people of the Niger Delta where I come from can produce Fuel Diesel Kerosene from the raw crude but the Nigerian government are frustrating the idea but paying huge amount of dollars to import it.. bad leaders evil leader are the biggest problem of Nigeria

Between DANGOTE, TINUBU And NIGERIANS:
While we cannot dictate to Entrepreneur like Alh.Dangote ,how he should Invest his money 💰,to make him remains No1 -Billionaire in Africa 🌍,but as he has Captured the Nigerian Own Refinery Templates,which the Morribound NNPC and its Subsidiaries failed to do for Nigerians,
• Can Alhaji- Dangote be magnanimous in Reducing the CEMENT PRICES to N6000- From the Current -N12,000,as we ( Nigerians) are tired of Excuses from his end in Reducing the Price.
• We know the Treble -Tax This Govt- is placing on items as Cement but The Govt have Not been able to Established:
- A Govt Own Cement Factory 🏭 - despite the Limestone Everywhere in Nigeria,but is Placing a Burden of Different Taxes on these Companies,hence Cement Prices are Cheaper in Other Countries than Nigeria - According to Dangote,in his recent Interviews.Nigerians,
• A Govt that cannot Establish her Own REFINERY but is able to Remove Subsidies - that they are not yet able to Accounts for ,
- And the State NNPC - Could Not be able to Established and Process her Own Fuel- ⛽ but are Charging Taxes on Anything in Nigeria!
This is a Lazy Man Approach Syndrome!
This is Not the Way it is done Abroad!
•An Appeal To Dangote:
Alhaji,Please do what is Right-Not What The Govt-Thinks,
OR
What the Market Velocity dictates.
Nigerians ,in their Millions Can Not Buy Lands ,
•Nor Build Houses,unlike when the Subsidies was still there, because the Cement Prices is Sky Roof Above!
And it seems Tinubu is Not ready to Establish Any Govt -Parastatals/ Company ,
-to tackle Cement and Housing Problems Matters in Nigeria.
And May their Govt Staff Housing.
Hope they will tell Nigerians during the Voting in Months to Come!

The question is where does dangote get its crude oil. That's your answer right there. If you think Nigeria supply it 100% of his crude, then I see where your questions emanate from. The man buy most of his crude from outside the country, Cos of Nigeria inability to meet it's need. The high price you see is a result of all the charge and cost of bringing crude into the country. Its not like we as a country isn't capable of supplying, but we have enter into some borrowing that requires us to pay back with crude. This is the reality of the country. Man still made sure the war didn't create fuel availability.
