People think that Chagoury is a new name in Nigerias politics. He has been around since the 89s. It was the northerners that elevated him to so much prominence in national politics and economy.

This man has been looting Nigeria with the military Generals since the days of Babangida.
Infact, there was a time after Babangidas administration that Mr Chagoury was basically regarded as a "wanted man" in Nigeria because of the sordid nature of his dealings with that administration.

Most Lebanese businesses in Nigeria are largely fronts for siphoning of funds from Nigeria. Especially the construction companies. Over invoicing of contract sums and all that. They hardly do any work. Just inflate contracts, pay the sum to their offshore accounts and share the corrupt proceeds with either the governors or the president ..
