[quote author=opes post=139209936]Obasanjo is the Chairman of the National Summit of Opposition Political Parties presently holding meeting in Ibadan..laughable.
Same Obasanjo that used EFCC to deal with opposition during his tenure.

So that singular fact makes it now LAUGHABLE. Abi?.
The way you guys console yourselves is actually the LAUGHABLE JOKE!!!.

I am not supporting Atiku, but it is obvious that he remains the most formidable figure among the opposition contenders. There is a reason Tinubu appears entirely unbothered by the swarm of political cockroaches, lizards, and croaking frogs parading themselves as presidential hopefuls, yet found it necessary to respond personally after Atiku’s media interview.

Real political relevance is not measured by loitering around airport terminals, carrying luggage for celebrities, posing for photographs with puppies, or washing aircraft lavatories. Serious strategists do not waste their time on inanities as they are too focused on their objectives.

Bottomline is that the opposition is spoilt for choice come 2027. Any combination will give Tinubu a run for his money. With Seyi Makinde now onboard, even the Southwest will be up for grabs. Tinubu will not win the region in a landslide as his lackeys like to pretend.
Who's Makinde?? Makinde can't even win presidential election for opposition. Makinde no get political relevance in Oyo state again.
Re: Atiku Arrives Ibadan For Opposition Summit by Svoboda(m): 3:27pm On Apr 25
Sometimes I feel Atiku should team up with Makinde as his running mate, while Obi contests under a different platform. This will get Tinubu effectively stranded, because he can only win the SW outright. The SE will be a no go area, while struggling in the SS, as Obi will eat up valuable votes in that region. The north would Atikus play ground of course.

You are right. Obi/Kwankwaso contesting as a third force will do serious damage to Tinubu's chances, unlike in 2023. Obi will still defeat him overall across the rest of the South but this time, there will be no 5.6m Northern votes for Tinubu. Those votes will largely go to an Atiku/Makinde combination, adding to his 7m margins in 2023. This is why Tinubu is desperate to deny Obi a platform because that's the only way they can attempt to sell the "Southern unity" card. The sitting arrangement at the summit is already speaking volumes. Overall, an Atiku/Obi combination is still the best combo but not the only one.

Gathering of Vultures! Largely bald and grey heads decades in wicked experience in milking Nigeria dry. Association of Disgruntled Comrades ADC!!! Shameless fellows who could not for decades now ensure stable electricity in Nigeria and they go to Dubai and elsewhere where they see and enjoy such infrastructure. They have no shame. Truly. Tinubu is there comrade only that they are disgruntled with him and they want the power so they can continue in their corrupt ways. Makinde has come across as a terrible disappointment considering that he was governing Oyo State fairly well before he swallowed the Bodija Explosion Millions and disobeyed the Order of Court to not hold the PDP Amala Convention which the Courts have invalidated thus wasting public funds he deployed to host the event! I was hoping he could be an alternative to Tinubu but now that he flocks with Atiku he has become a suspect!

In 2019, the now king Ladoja convinced 5 political parties to collapsed their structures for Makinde and their candidates dropped their ambitions to support him. Sharafadeen Alli was among them, as seen in the picture next to Makinde.
In 2023, APC supported him based on the alliance he had with Tinubu to win re-election.

False. In 2023, he supported Tinubu through the G5 but Tinubu and Wike ended up betraying and humiliating him as is typical. He was the one who did Tinubu a favour in 2023, otherwise, Tinubu would have lost Oyo like he lost Lagos and Osun. Seyi Makinde is fully incharge of Oyo and the people love him. His anointed candidate will defeat Adelabu and Sharafudeen any day and any time. Tinubu is not that popular in the Southwest as you lot like to pretend. Plus, Tinubu never supported Obasanjo, his fellow Yoruba brother, simply because he was in the opposition. Why expect Makinde and other Southwestern opposition figures to now support Tinubu? Makinde has scores to settle.

It is actually laughable, and people who know the history will laugh at seeing Baba on the podium now, speaking against the ruling party for allegedly using INEC and EFCC against the opposition.

Makinde worked for Tinubu in 2023, likewise APC supported his re-election.

Oga, Makinde would have won his re-election with or without Tinubu. Infact, supporting Tinubu costed him as his supporters ended up voting APC candidates as Senators due to lack of clarity. Tinubu couldn't even return the favour. He asked Makinde to nominate a ministerial candidate only to neglect his choice to appoint his political rival. Same thing he did to Elrufai.

Atiku knows if he steps down for obi, obedients will surely take over the ADC platform and they eventually will be frustrated out the party. And if they get into power There is likelihood that the atiku team eg David mark, dino etc will most likely be sidelined. Looking at the antecedece of the obidient structure, they don't hide their intentions, they don't care about you or your party, the only thing they care about is there tribalistic mission. At labour party they did everything to take over from the people that they met in the party inorder to dominate it which was seriously resisted and they will do the same ADC if given the room. It will be a huge setback for atiku to lose the ticket to obi because obedients will surely kick them out of ADC.

From your write up, it is clear you are an Obi hater. However, let me try to answer you logically, hoping you are one of the few 'emilokans' that still have sense.

Tinubu isn't afraid of Atiku and Obi individually, but he's afraid of their coming together as a united force. At least the last election proved it. Even if Atiku doesn't run, but throws his weight behind Obi especially for northern votes, Tinubu knows he is still in trouble. Vice versa for Obi behind Atiku; wether they run together or not.

Atiku was talking politics which is his terrain, so it is easier for him to respond to Atiku's interview.
Recently, more than before, Peter Obi has been reacting to economic and security statistics, which is not Tinubu's forte. That's why he doesn't respond to Peter Obi. He knows that the statistics "they have refused to chop" is hunting them now.

You won't be responding up and down to comments of those who are not in power if you're truly busy doing productive things with the power you have.

How then did Joseph Tegbe get appointed under Tinubu’s government? Who recommended him for the juicy position, a known PDP member and a loyalist of Seyi?

Anyways, we're all entitled to our own opinion, provided it's not infringing on the rights of anyone.
