Wearing white for the bride on wedding day used to be a sign of purity (virginity) but unfortunately today, even retired bed veterans now wear it on wedding day. Today, whether a woman is a virgin or not, she can choose to wear whatever she want on her wedding and there's nothing anyone can do about it because It has become more of an attire than a symbol. It is what it is - Marcus Verum essentialone: |

There's no where in the scriptures where it's written that a girl must wear white on her wedding. This was all designed by Europeans and not scriptures! There's even nothing like church wedding in the Bible. What the Bible talks about is bride price which should only be paid if a girl is a virgin. A marriage has taken place the moment that bride price is paid to the owners of the girl. It signals a transfer of ownership from her parents to the husband to be. Wedding is the celebration of the marriage that has already happened, just like you take your friends out for a beer in a bar when you win and sign a lucrative contract. You can even go and pay bride price in boxers and singlets and the lady can come in trousers or wrapper and God will still stand as a witness that you're married the moment you pay the bride price. So remove all that compulsory doctrine of white wedding or the lady must wear white only if she's a virgin or church wedding that was designed by Europeans. These stuffs are not in the Bible! Read and Search the scriptures for yourself and come back and testify. |
