As much as I detests Tinubu's presidency, but you see the political and economic stability he has helped enthrone in Lagos, it's very commendable. Lagos is a complex state that requires the influence of a strongman to keep it going.

I just hope it remains stable beyond his lifetime. Political instability in Lagos will be a dreaded nightmare. GOD bless Lagos!

We need a Conservative candidate for lagos state. Sanwoolu did very bad in protecting the yorubas and yoruba heritage in his 8yrs in office. It was even under him that the see finish solidified. I'm not convinced about Hamzat too. His utterances at a leadership summit I attended on the island in 2024 is not encouraging to the conservativeness yorubas needed in lagos state. He shares in the Liberal mindset of Sanwoolu. He appears to be worse sef.

A cursory look at Obafemi Hamzat PhD shows a silent, and intelligent personality who has a very unassuming and humble disposition.

Dr. Hamzat Obafemi is what a political scientist would call a Machiavellian. Stealthy moving, never showing ambition and keeping his cards to his chest.

Unlike Obasa and Jandor who look more ambitious, this man has kept it cool and calm althrough the eight years of serving his Principal Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Whatever his credentials are and no matter how good he is, it can never translate into good leadership for the public because he won't be allowed to execute his own plans and ideas but those of the godfather and king makers. Any day he tries to do his own will, impeachment comes knocking so he's coming to continue an existing script, nothing to rejoice about except for individuals close to him that will benefit more from his elevation!

Tinubu was the least of Ambode problems if anything he was loyal to PBAT and the cause of Fashola rift with PBAT.

It was the Party against Ambode as he alienated too many people and issues and acted like lagos was his father’s inheritance. It was said that no LG chairman had his no.

I hope he has learnt that the party has to elect you to represent them first.

Lolll. This is politics. Powerplay. Why do you think politicians do the unimaginable to be in power? Had Ambode succeeded in his quest in 2019, that would have ended Tinubu's political career.
Tinubu has been in the game long enough not to permit someone capable of attempting that to be too close to him. It was disloyalty. FYI, Ambode didn't repent, he contested the primaries and lost.

The best Ambode can get is an Ambassador (like them FFK, Reno), head of some not very active MDAs, or something similar.
