TheSuperNerd:I hail u sir!! The Eagles Superfan Numero Uno. Abeg any tips on when Chelle would release his Unity Cup list? Also realistically, is that window an international break? Finally Amokachi or Siasia for U23? I wish Amuneke could also try for the U23 job too. |

TheSuperNerd:The U17 team of Iheanacho are the ones that disappointed the most. From Alampasu, Misa Muhammed, Isaac Success, Nwakali, Musa Yahaya, it's a pity only Iheanacho, Uzoho, Awoniyi I can remember who have had somewhat of a decent career. |

TheSuperNerd:Not all of us, e be like say Goke joined nairaland only when Osimhen moved to Napoli. It was you and Safari girl made me notice Osimhen's talent during his U17 days, and I said, "this is our Usain Bolt, the guy who is going to break all our records" Bosco have already named him the best young striker in the world before he even signed for Lille. Even When the man K was always waging war against him,I wonder if BankyGee was even part of the team that defended Osimhen against Komekn and his gangs. |

AndSunGorilla:Their disappointments pain me,especially Yahaya and Isaac Success. Theere is so much talents in that team. From defense to midfield, and the attack is loaded, yet they disappointed going forward, started by Manu Garba. But the team still gave us Ndidi, Iheanacho,Uzoho,½ Awoniyi & Moses Simon in extension. Now we can't even see one player making it to the super eagles straight from the youth teams. |

He was good. Solid performance. He played a more offensive role, and it payed off. His assist is wonderful, but more wonderful is winning most of his duels in the opposition's half, for me this is a beautiful thing because of the options it opens up for the coach. Papi85:/video/1?s=46 |

TheSuperNerd:Good we're about doing the right thing for u17, coach shola or the beyond limit coach is the real deal. I hope they finalize everything Asap. For the u20, no disrespect to Maikaba, we should be doing better for our age grade team. As for u23 - No comment. |

TheSuperNerd:In defense of Banky, he may not have been a pioneer of the Osimhen craze here, but he has definitely taken the baton and ran the whole ten thousand yards with it. 🤣 |

Many others have done so too across social media and it is when Osimhen was already known. Basco, Safarigirl and myself began the Osimhen hype before Osimhen became the household name many on socials know him now to be. It is easy running a race for a known entity not an unknown one. So dont let recency bias cover the truth. I have been doing this long before anyone came on board and I did not limit it to just Osimhen. I did not do mine to be noticed. I did not tag Osimhen or do any of that... I did not have to because I did not want to. Na him come find me. I just enjoy promoting Nigerian football and following up on the exploits of our players home and abroad. I have my own life and I have my own story so football reporting is just a fun pasttime for me coz I love Nigerian football. Players come, players go.... before it was Mikel and Nacho and Ighalo, now it is Osimhen, Iwobi, Chukwueze, Lookman... their time will pass and we will still talk about the new names rising. So please make una stop this narrative as if person dey drag anything here. I just do what I do. Nothing else to it. FiveFootNinja: |

Perhaps those citing Ethan Nwaneri's low at Marseille arent far from it at all... I personally dont know how that will translate to us convincing him though. But time will tell...

Yes, our project can tempt him if we try for real. I really hope Chelle and the NFF make that concrete move on him soon especially as Nnadi is a major reason to focus attention on what's going on at Marseille. But then by the summer, Ethan returns to Arsenal so I just dont know. Again, time will tell. elyte89: |

Napoleon55:Isaac Success had everything to get to the very top in football but indiscipline ruined him. Even then he was tagged the new Samuel Eto’o and tipped to be next big thing to emerge from Nigeria I remember the afcon u17 before the World Cup proper the guy was unplayable and very good which made him to be the first to sign for an European club (Udinese) before others followed up after their World Cup triumph. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 10:38am On Apr 28 |
Very true. 100% recalled. If I remember, it was Granada he joined in La Liga. The first of that 2013 Class to start off a senior pro career in Europe and in a Top 5 league oooo. It still hurts till this day how we missed out on his unrealised beastly potentials. At the 2013 U17 Afcon, Success and Iheanacho... 7 goals and 5 goals respectively were the leading scorers of that competition we lost to Kessie and CIV in the final on penalties before we later went on to EASILY conquer the world. The swiftness with which we brought this lad in was commendable. Just shows if we seriously spot a fine talent we wanna recruit, we will do all we can to make it happen. Fernandez is gonna be huge for Nigeria. I still have flashbacks to the moments after he scored vs Jordan... he did not celebrate much, he just went into full "lecture mode" 😂 How he was relaying certain info to the others reeks of leadership traits. No wonder he change am for Chukwuani in one Rangers game. We have another defensive leader in this guy, Emmanuel Segun Opeyemi Fernandez. Papi85: |

Papi85:All Nigeria academy young prospects should study Isaac Success and Taiwo Awoniyi careers for guidance...... Success was highly rated but indiscipline ruined his career while Awoniyi was average but very disciplined, both belonged to 2013 under 17 class, fact Awoniyi replaced Success due to injury during under 17 World Cup. |
