This bird was killed this morning close to my office.. they had already killed it before I arrived.. I was sad at their actions but I will like to know the name of this innocent bird that has just been wasted..

Looks like a Hawk. Why are we so superstitious and wicked? If you ask them now, they'll tell you it's a witch. The poor bird was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

That is a peregrine falcon.

What’s their reason for killing it?


I’ve lost count of how many birds have built nests in my cut-out fuse. They lay eggs, hatch them, and move on ---the cycle continues. I don’t disturb them and they don’t disturb me.


Last week I saw one of the doves dead. I don’t know what killed it, and I felt sad. The first time I noticed their nest, I wanted to remove it but a neighbour advised me against it, saying it brings good luck.

She said birds build their nests where they feel safe and that it attracts blessings to the occupants of the house so I left it.

Nigerians and killing wildlife are like 5&6, hunger is real. That looks like a peregrine falcon.
The killing of that falcon has condemned it's family and youngones to death cos they can't fend for themselves without the adult.
