Are you about to drop serious money on a new phone just because the marketing said "200 Megapixels" or "Gaming Edition"?
Don’t get hyped; get informed. By 2026, the game has changed completely. A massive RAM number won't save you if the foundation is weak, and a fast charger doesn't make a slow phone better.
Do you know what actually makes a phone fast and future-proof in 2026? We’re ranking the essentials, and #1 is non-negotiable.

Not really. Redmi 14c has 8g/256g (Not virtual RAM)
Price is below 200k
Many looks for luxury in phones.
But there are actually some budget friendly phones with such specs

muyico:
Depending on person pocket
8gb ram phone
With 5/4G network
Make person budget close to 1m

Now this is where you failed. The least you could have done is give examples, instances, and conclude by giving recommendations.

Redmi 15C bought it for₦180,000. Even the 13C which I previously used is packing that same spec excluding 5g, it was a 4G LTE and I bought it for ₦135,000 .
Thank you so much for the info. I will have to check out the 15C as my phone needs replacement.

itel? I will never touch their product even with a 12 foot pole.
I am on the same position but I have happened to use their then S15 (sold it after a couple months because it wasn't the 4G version that I bought) and after some years I ventured again. I've been using their S24 since 2024 till date no issues. Both phones were flagship and I had no issues performance wise but I can't deny I've noticed improvements based on people who buy their midrange or entry level devices.

The point is they're no longer a company of useless phones or inferior gadgets. They even have a wonderful line of superb accessories like power banks, Bluetooth party speakers etc and their phones have become more functional and reliable in recent years but if you actually use your phone for things other than calls and social media then, Buy ONLY their flagship. S series (e.g. S26) or gaming phones like the RS4. Never ever buy a 2gb physical ram or an Android Go version device from them.

Phone is just to receive calls and messages. All the craziness about phone models is a waste of time and money. I don't know what is wrong with Nigerians. How can I spend #1m for a phone? Honestly Naija people lack modesty and chase unnecessary stuff. Left for me, all the phones will pack dust on the shelves. Rubbish.

wait until the third year of usage lets see. I too used their phone and in the first two years no issues but on the third year the hardware started expiring, the battery became shit, the phone just became a nightmare to use and this was despite the fact that I used it as a spare/back up device going sometimes 4weeks or two months without using it since I had a phantom that provided me with everything I needed. I have met at least 5 people who had similar issues with itel so my experience with it wasn't an isolated case
