My brother, be it through the Internet oh or news channel, all are medium of communication. Besides, the woman that received the help is the main propagator of this information who happens to be a Yoruba person.
I am not your brother.
Was it the woman that was helped that posted this on nairaland?

Sorry for addressing you as my brother. My enemy, the main Koko is that the woman that received the help is happy and I am happy for her as well. Holla.

Everything is now linked to the issue of igbo presidency.
If you like, dash all Yoruba 100 billion dollars each, it doesn't change the fact that you ibos need to play the right politics
Zik aligned with the north, he lost out
Ojukwu came back from exile, aligned with the north, he lost out
Igbos aligned with the north through pdp for 24 years, they lost out.

The OP is just being mischievous and trying to insult other tribes.

Why did you Igbo brother give her the money just so all the Igbos in the world will use it to insult her and her tribe just the way you are doing now.

Why give a gift and turn around and tell all your tribe members to start raining insults on the woman and her tribe.

This is not helping and the money given by your Igbo brother was not given in good faith

I am neither Igbo nor Yoruba but I will do everything in my power to ensure that no Igbo ever smell the presidency in Nigeria

Okay guys, I am going to bring to you an interesting event that's already trending in the Nigerian social media spaces.

It's a touching story of a Yoruba woman, I guess a widow who moved into a house her husband started but was unable to complete . She and her young kids had to move into the uncompleted building because she said she could not afford the high rent agents/landlords were calling for their apartments.

Shortly after the woman made this post public on social media, Nigerians from all tribes and social class responded showing pity and compassion towards her as many pledged to donate to help her make the uncompleted building more habitable for her and the kids. Hours gone no one fulfilled their big promises except one Igbo man who doesn't even live in Lagos state that sent the woman 1million naira and the woman is already overjoyed and couldn't hold her joy as she came back online to share her testimony which has now encouraged others to start making their little contributions.

Guys guess why I brought this topic here?

If you have observed, as I have observed over the years before now, the most popular political song most Yorubas sing even offline is this:

AN IGBO MAN WILL NEVER BECOME PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA!

and to them, so long as this is fulfilled, they are happy, whether the person ruling Nigeria is ruining it or not and making life miserable for them, to them it doesn't matter to them so long as Igbo man or woman does not become President of Nigeria.

Interview most of them why they don't want Peter Obi to emerge President of Nigeria and they will tell you with pride and joy that AN IGBO MAN WILL NEVER RULE NIGERIA! and whenever they say it, they feel so fulfilled and overjoyed with pride that they said it.

Ask most of them what an IGBO man or woman has done to them personally and they will go back to 1966 to tell you how Igbo soldiers did this and that coup. Ask them if there were no other coups or even bloody coup d'etats after the January 1966 coup, and they will start throwing tantrums and insults with joy and fulfillment.

Make una continue sha, na nature go handle all these things with time, I pray most of us live to see ourselves cool

@OP.

You people and your Messiah complex. Is it that you cannot breathe unless you feel you are better than others?

No Edo, Yoruba, Hausa, Urhobo, Fulani person can give her a measly 1 million Naira ba?

We must now create a shrine to worship you guys because Igbo man gave her the money? ⁰Are you guys factually the most compassionate and generous Nigerians?

You guys need to stop this show of inferiority complex. I can't remember the number of Nigerians, of different ethnicity, I have assisted because I did not help them seeking ethnic recognition and shalaye.

You lot should stop this nonsense. If we all start d1ck comparison then who will we conclude, factually, has fought for the underprivileged and oppressed more than Yorubas and other ethnic groups you are not included in?

You guys aren't even naturally kind and compassionate like that. When you can show one of your own that is like Femi Falana, Fela, Tai Solarin, Gani Fawehinmi, Obafemi Awolowo, Tinubu etc then I will buy into your desperation to always portray yourselves as messiahs to others.

But Yorubas have helped the Igbos most because they see them as their brothers and sisters...junior brothers and sisters.
It is a legacy thing for Yorubas to help their Igbo brethren without eye service.
Precisely. Yorubas help other and fight, as the conscience of Nigeria always, for the past 60 years, far more than others without eye service.

So many wonderful Nigerians, from different ethnic group, who typify what humanity and love of fellow man is about.

Yet these guys must always tout themselves messiahs when no historical fact show they care about other. Same way they want all of us to canonize the fraud Obi and announce him the equivalent od the Pope.

Even in their SE, are they accommodating? No. The region is shunned by all Nigerians as a destination of permanent economic migration.

OP is a bigot. What he is doing is deliberate. I.e use single anecdotal example to claim "we are messiahs".

Lazy approach to life based on trying to convince other you are what reality does not validate you are.

Which honest person will tout Igbos most naturally generous and compassionate Nigerians full of goodwill for others?

Seems like you people love your chains
But Awolowo aligned with the North and lost out too. Remember Obasanjo's Democratic return was from aligning with the North, because no state in the West supported him, even his home State not counting bloc Igbo votes in 1999 and 2003 even with Buhari and Atiku's rebellion then.
Tinubu also aligned with the North to win in 2023. Remember he lost blue black in the south but was rescued in the north by the former President, Ganduje and El-Rufai. He even beat a fulani in the northwest fulani stronghold to carry the north and win the Presidency.
You guys always say Peter Obi cannot be president without the north and that igbos should build bridges. Now they are following your experienced advice and you are saying they love their chains. Are you a friend or a frenemy?

Tribalism is mostly online especially on this Nairaland, offline Nigerians do business and make money together.

There’s a lot of losers on this forum. This is the only place that makes them feel like they are worth anything.
