Men Should Practice "Financial Celibacy" Until Marriage by kiddaz(op): 5:18am On May 02
Shift the focus from impressing with resources to connecting through purpose. It's time to become financially celibate until marriage. Yes. Men have been programmed by society to believe spending money on a woman is how you show seriousness but in reality it shows your desperation. Like a dinner bill you normally can't afford regularly but you're using it to try to impress a woman who hasn't even earned it yet.

Just really think about this for a minute, you take her to different places for weeks, fancy restaurants you normally don't go and buy expensive wines you can't even pronounce or won't probably buy again, isn't a date but an audition. Meanwhile your savings account is looking at you like a disappointed father, your business account hasn't been funded in months but on a "special date" for her you're going all out for a banny who still introduces you as a "friend" to her people or even "maga". This isn't saying you guys shouldn't spend or be generous but also apply wisdom and build yourself.

A wise man saves but a fool and his money are soon parthed. A woman who requires your wallet before respecting your character was never interested in you in the first place. She was interested in your budget and the man who leads with money instead of purpose will always attract the woman who follows money instead of the man. Protect your wallet same way you protect your peace because both will tell you who belongs in your life and who is just a visitor.

Yeah you're right but we still need to keep trying to bring them to the light. Some are just slow not that they're abnormal.

No spending till marriage is the best way to focus on the right reasons for compatibility

A whole lot of persons keep doing kwa kiri kwa and awwwnnnnn so sweet and wouldn't have time to really decide if both are compatible.

6months along the line, divorce follows

If them go gree heed to it. Else, nah to learn the hard way

The truth is, person wey really work hard, toil, sweat and struggle to make money suppose dey prudent by default except village people dey remote you.

Know where your money is going. especially spending what you can't afford to loose on women.

Nowadays, to advice dey tire me. People go still do wetin dey their mind. Just take back seat and allow experience or consequences to do the needful.

Every relationship has a price. Quit whining and face your fear.

For any relationship to work money is needed.

For me I cannot allow my daughter date a self centred man.

You are too right on this brother .Stop impressing a woman who will still tell you

Is it not just 5k ?
Or
Did I put a gun on your head when sending it ?

They all do this

All these girls are just same no matter how polished you think they are .

In the last two months ,I quitted two relationships because the two of them failed my simple test.

I asked for financial assistance of ordinary 5k from them and both failed it .

I just abandoned them over a month now after giving them byebye .......
and jejely faced my wife .Despite the fact that I won a bet of 1.3m ,I didn't bother call any of them or reply their chats again .

They can never be there for you when you need them .

At what point do you think the celibacy should stop? When she agree to marry you or after marriage?

So that persons wouldn't take it to far.

Men boys these days don't have what it takes to lead women without opening their wallets. They're the reason why these entitled daughters of Eve think they're owed something. A simp and his wallet shall be parted and they'll learn the hard way.

My husband didn't give me a dime until our wedding date was fixed.
No money/gifts on my birthday or festive season.
Whenever we went on outings, we both picked our bills.

My husband did not spend on me while we were dating.
It's possible to date without spending.
It depends on the type of lady you are dating.

The problem is men want to use relationship to have sex hence the women bill them and they use money /gifts to impress them.
No spending.. No sex..
Best relationship

Exactly! Nigerian girls and their entitlement to a man's money.

Better go and work for your own money . Men are getting wiser.

Better train ur daughter well not to be too money conscious and desperate so that nigerian guys won't end up using her for money rituals.

What was your perspective on it at the time, especially compared to prev relationships. Did you guys discuss it to come to that point or was it just an unspoken rule? Don't mind my many questions, just curious.

Well, because I didn't agree to sleep with him. he brought the "no spending" and it was so.
I only visited him twice. First time in the company of a couple who were mutual friends.
Second time , was alone after our introduction

It came out of me not wanting physical intimacy .. so he flipped to not spending..Maybe thinking I will flinch and change my mind. But I didn't .I was working , comfortable and not greedy.
So if you don't spend,e no concern me.
After about 8 months, he proposed and we got married.

so because he didn't spend, you refused to give him sex, that shows you don't love him
