Honestly, those chickens deserve to be rewarded. 😰

On top of everything, we end up eating the chickens as "old layers", after all their labour.

Some white people don't eat chickens they reared for eggs, after they stopped laying.
They just allow them "retire" and roam freely until they die.

A killed one of my noiler chicken which started laying eggs at about a month ago.
Inside the chicken, I met a fully developed egg which strong shell.
I actually waited for her to lay the egg before killing it because it is already past her laying time but my wife assured me that the egg would still be intact even if I've killed it and it's actually true.
I found another 5 partially developed eggs with soft shell and coloured like yolk (little smaller than the developed one) but there are several tiny egg follicles which are uncountable and could possibly give me eggs everyday for another 5 months or so.
God is really merciful and wonderful!

Very true.

As a policy, anytime I take out of my local chicken eggs for consumption, I made sure I give them something extra to pick on as a reward.

E no easy at all.

I have witnessed them lay hundreds of times, the way they stay still, almost immobile at the point of the egg dropping should invoke pity in anyone.
