Federal government should stop building road and focus on economy and security.

They are using it to steal resources

So development should stop just because you cannot afford to buy cement for yourself? Are you okay.?
Oga what happened to the usual Bitumen road?
And we have them here in large quantities, so this your question don't make sense.

I can see how okay you are.

Because of your road trips that's why you want subsidy back?,show us one country in the world people are not complaining about cost rising cost of living from US to SA......I agree food inflation is higher than before but lower than when he came in.

Family loaf of bread is about $1.20

1 paint rubber of garri will last my family for more than 2 weeks $2.00

1/4 bag of rice that will last my family for a month is $8.00

Crate of eggs is $5

Kilo of chicken/fish/pork is $5

Beans is even cheaper than rice

Fufu,white yam flour etc $2.00

Pasta 80 cents

Etc.

Minimum wage $50

These aren't overly expensive as many of you obidients always want people to believe,I agree they cost more than the used to but you need to always reckon that people also earn more than they used to.....you would have cogent grounds to complain if wages didn't increase.

However,I don't understand why beef which is locally produced is so expensive, more than poultry or fish which is majorly imported also eggs that has a higher cost of production.

Now I see why you made the kind of comments you just made up there. You have not been in this country, if you have, you will be aware when the analysis of bitumen and concrete roads were done and it was discovered that concrete last much longer than bitumen. Do you expect the roads they will do now to get sports after 3 years and they start doing the same road again? I am not in the Southeast but the roads that were done with concrete in Lagos in the last how many years have proven to be the best.

So, oga. Quality over quantity.

No wonder we have always had electricity under Obasanjo Yardua Ebele n Buhari. Na Tinubu come pack all our electricty now.

all these white elephant at the detriment of the people & economy makes no sense

Infact it would have being beneficial if Tinubu had devoted this much energy on power

No country jokes with " Energy" ..its one viable propeller of any economy anyhow you decide to look at it

Just building new Roads at a Time Nigerians are afraid to travel long distance cos of insecurity ..Tinubu is a fuulish man

The last time they voted Obi, they did it for Tinubu indirectly and they are going to do it again.

jameshankss:
Arguing that Obi’s presidential bid would only work in favour of Tinubu, Soludo said, “Indeed, if I were Asiwaju Tinubu, I would even give Peter Obi money as someone heading one of the departments of his campaign, because Obi is making Tinubu’s pathway to victory much easier by indirectly pulling down PDP.”

Obi, according to Soludo, would only deplete the votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pave the path for an APC victory.

He stated, “The current fleeting frenzy, if not checked, will cost Ndigbo dearly for years. The South-east has the lowest number of votes of any region, but it is also the only region where the presidential race might be a four-way race (it is a two-way race in the other five regions) thereby, ensuring that our votes won’t count in the making of the next president of Nigeria.

https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2022/11/15/soludo-i-wont-succumb-to-bullies-obi-knows-he-cant-win/
Kwankwaso is obviously eyeing 2031, and luring Obi to use for his own agenda, just like Tinubu used him for his own turn in 2023 to continue APC extreme poverty shege.

Wike lobbied PDP committee to be Atiku’s running mate – Ex-gov’ship aspirant

Thu, 29 Sep 2022 14:33:04 WAT

Muazu Magaji, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano State, has alleged that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, lobbied members of the party’s committee constituted to advise the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the choice of his running mate.

Magaji disclosed this while speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, on Thursday.

The Kano politician also argued that there was no proof that Atiku promised Wike the vice president position as claimed.

The PDP committee had recommended the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and Wike.

The committee, however, scored Wike above the other two contenders but Atiku decided to settle for Okowa. A decision that has since unsettled Wike’s camp.

Magaji, however, claimed that Wike lobbied to be scored ahead of others, adding that the Rivers State governor should not be trusted with important positions in the country.

At least you're talking like a normal human being now, to answer your question if the road is built to last it will last years, problem with these guys is they don't do good and lasting roads!
They want to spend small out of the money budgeted for the job, abi other countries roads don't last?
Or the lekki epe expressway constructed by fashola didn't last abi those roads on the CBD in Lagos Island did by Julius berger during tinubu timw not still standing till today?
Be supporting this guys, just keep supporting them blindly in whatever they do and fight anybody that asks question.
Goan check the roads this same man constructed with concretes when he was governor and know how far.

The minimum wage in USA is s $1,256 per month.
The minimum wage in South africa is $242 per month
The minimum wage in Nigeria is $42–$44
Ask yourself if its fair to make the above comparison
Over 129 million to 139 million Nigerians were living below the poverty line.
Thats almost 70 percent of the entire population...
Thats a simple indicator that they are not earning more...
By the time it hit 90 percent...
Maybe your brain will reset that we are not moving forward with Tinubu reforms..

OP are you serious right now?
Where is security to ply those roads?
where is the money to buy highly prices petrol?

Where market go seat with seller all day without financial purchase strength to patronize businesses

Why is the contract awarded in shadows no bidding nothing just award contract and who is benefitting more,
the awardee or the masses?
what if I tell you the contract sum could comfortably build twice or more of the value you pay if the right guy had awarded the same contract?

WE NEED SOMEONE WHO WOULD JUDICIOUSLY MANAGE OUR COMMOM WHEALTH not some rice driven economic propaganda and manipulative forceful acceptance lots.

We are OK with New Nigeria agenda
Thank you. You have said it all. But agbados have long discarded their grey matters as requirement for agbado supporters membership.

On a more serious note tinubu is as effective as nothingness.

Sir, you are not making any sense at all. Let me give you the benefit of the doubt. Can you please tell us your candidate with verifiable track record of doing anything close to Tinubu.
Let us agree with all your other points, let us even agree Tinubu is responsible for the spike in oil prices but please let us know your candidate.

Let me tell you something you probably didn't know, the first indication that an economy is turning around is construction and right now it is happening all over the country like never before.

Una problems no get cure nothing will ever satisfy you people! So because of security they should not construct roads or other aspects of governance should stand still? Are the people in charge of security also in charge of construction? Nigerians with very myopic way of reasoning.

Why is President Tinubu wasting funds constructing road in the South East?

Judging from this thread, most of them don’t see the need for the road and would rather argue about it being cement or too smooth for them.

We have roads that need concrete in the SW, just redirect the fund here and we will appreciate better.
Is building a road an achievement?
