Yes, I am having same issue here. I made payment to my dedicated account on Thursday 30/4/2026 but I have not been credited. I have mailed about it today but no response from them.

I am beginning to believe that they're overwhelmed and understaffed because I don't understand why even payment made to the unique/dedicated account before 12:00 pm is can not be credited.

You will need to go to the bank so they can generate a token for transfer above 1m

For sometime now I have had my attention shifted to Norrenberger, First Ally and stocks.
No much activities in stanbic.

My advice is that investors should always place a call through to the customer care rather than mail if there is any issue. Calls get attention faster.

I also think it's a system issue. Most times glitches leads to delay in posting but the value date will still follow normal rule and policy governing funds deposit.

For the first Ally, are you on the MMF or the HYIS?

Hi investors,

I have invested 20 million naira in a Cowrywise high-yield portfolio, which currently offers an annual return of about 16.77%.

My questions are:

* Is my fund being fully optimized?
* Are there better investment options available?

I’m comfortable with moderate risk and have a long-term horizon of about 20 years. If there are more trustworthy alternatives with potentially higher returns, I would appreciate your recommendations so I can consider reallocating my funds.

If you are new with this kind of investments.... you might need to tally awhile....

Do not jump into anything with both legs yet....

I started with fixed deposit...then moved to .Tbills + .MMF and finally added Equity....

I later abandoned fixed deposit, will abandon Tbills in July upon maturity....

I am now into MMF and equity..

Take your time...read up on the thread and decide on what suits your goals...

I think Nigerias should actually boycott anything Stanbic bank. I have MMF with Stanbic and a savings account with substantial transactions
I applied for mastercard and they said they don’t give master card on naira accounts. All my other accounts namely Fcmb Wema and Uba gave me mastercard on naira account and the transaction on those accounts can’t be compared with the Stanbic bank.
Seriously this has to stop

The mastercard issue is true. They want to force their customers to either use Verve or Afrigo and because of that, it's been almost a year that my ATM expired and I have been without it.

I still manage with them because I can, but their services is already frustrating me all round. Thank God I didn't move my PFA there when someone one of their Pensions Arm Staff was aggressively marketing me. Now he has travelled out. I would have been left with my wahala.

Let's get this clear. MMF is not a cash deposit. MMF is like a derivative, i.e., a product from the original product. Here is what I mean. Mutual funds generally have underlying assets that are the actual investment; the fund is just the vehicle that carries the assets. So as you invest, all fees is on the underlying assets, and by law, what the fund managers display is the net of all charges, if otherwise it will be stated. If you use GT Fund managers, you would have noticed there is always a note under the display rates that the rates are gross.

So if you invest 10m, your money with other investors' is invested in Tbills, CPs, and others, all charges are applied accordingly with respect to those instruments, and the managers collect their fees as well, so the rate you get is net, hence your capital can never be lower than what you put in as a matter of principle as applied to MMF. It's the reason it's called a low-risk investment; your capital is always guaranteed. The interest or returns can vary based on the economic reality and MPR as determined by the CBN.

@beKind555, to provide further clarity on your question, I recommend reviewing my earlier post on the factors to consider before choosing an investment instrument. One of the most important factors is age.
Generally, younger investors have a longer time horizon, which allows them to take on more risk in pursuit of higher returns that can outpace inflation over time. Based on this:
If you are below 40, a balanced approach could be:
60% in dividend-paying, fundamentally sound stocks
40% in money market funds. For MMF, you can patronize Norrenberger and First Ally as fund managers
As you approach retirement, capital preservation becomes more important. In that case, a more conservative allocation is advisable:
40% in stocks
60% in money market funds
This approach helps strike a balance between growth and stability, depending on your stage in life. It will also help your investment to beat inflation and keep its value over time.

You are free to be in touch if you need further clarification.

I don't know your age but the fact that you are willing to wait 20 years.

Here is how you would go about it:

Spread 2 million each in five large cap stocks that pays dividends (bank stocks; GTCO, Zenitn, UBA, Stanbic, Dangote Cement or MTN. That will amount to 10 Million.

Then, Invest about 2 million into Cardinal stone Equity mutual funds.

You will be left with 8 Million. Throw that into Stanbic MMF.

Then go sleep and pray NIGERIA does not disintegrate before 20 years time because as long as Nigeria won't disintegrate; After 20 years and with this strategy, you will be financially secured for life because your investment would have over compounded such that, you can ball alone from stocks dividend pay out. Not to even mention capital gain appreciation.

Billionaires that leave the buck of their wealth in stocks does that for a reason and you will find it out in 20 years time.

Actual drop. I noted the balance on May 1 and checked again yesterday. May 1 was higher than what it was yesterday which is strange. I track my balance at least monthly.

The balance would reflect the ROI for April.
