Don't try it. The engine was not made to run dry . It was made to run on petrol and not cng. Remember this is nigeria Okada cn ram u from rear Drunk yao boy can also crash u from rear Cows Npf Bullion vans Mad drivers And when that happens It's explosion .don't get kpai by cng Get an electric car Or reduce your speed Las las u go bow to petrol cos na petrol get power Cng stations are very few and the next refil station might be another 15 miles from your place. Using cng is not worth it. It's like using a rechargeable bike.once e off? E don be. Abi u go fit buy gas for keg. Ogbeni. Also your car would develop mad faults within a month |

The major consideration is constant availability of the product in your area, you can manage the other short comings |

Gotocourt:Spending the whole day at the gas station just to refill your cylinder is not correct. I want to ask, are you presently using CNG? |
| Re: Converting my Petrol engine to CNG by LeonMacJames(m): 11:37am On May 05 |
Can CNG work in parallel with petrol? A hybrid system theoretically I don't see why it can't be possible. It would solve the con of getting stranded when you don't see a CNG station. Dzzzz: |

I converted mine since March and it has been enjoyable... Just that u have to drive safely and always go for routine monthly check ups... Asides that I think it's a viable option |
| Re: Converting my Petrol engine to CNG by dival247(m): 11:46am On May 05 |
2cribz:I disagree with u , have been using gas for my gen for the pass 12 years. , working perfectly. Have u check the thickness on cylinder tank. You don’t have a valid point. On if the gas station is not around u is not advisable. |

I am also in the process of converting my car to CNG and just wondering why i didn't bring this up here before you. Anyways thank you for doing that! like you rightly mentioned , fuel don too cost and i think CNG is the right way to go now , asides electric cars.. Just to quickly address observations raised above on long distance . I have entered silver express luxurious bus using CNG from Lagos to Kano and from Kano to Lagos, no issues , as long as you have refill stations at intervals. On issue of Installation, kindly ensure the conversion is carried out by good CNG conversion centers and authorized by the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI) / government which include Femadec (Lekki), Portland Gas (Ojota), Mezovest (Ajah), Dana Motors (Isolo), MBH Power (Ikorodu), Autogig (Gbagada), NORD-Unilag , Biogreen CNG conversion center, city mech CNG convr. off oba akran,Ikeja among others. On issue of Explosion, I cannot count how many vehicles have exploded / caught fire in various accidents with vehicles using PMS, so it is not an issue of CNG On issue of spending the whole day at refill station, while this is true you can always plan ahead and be in the first 5 cars to be attended too. In addition, there are more conversion CNG stations in town now and the govt is obviously working to provide more. cant remember other issues raised...but I am going CNG Fellas!!! meanwhile BIO - PMS I CAN USE BOTH PMS AND CNG |

Is this how Nigeria have fallen? A country blessed with oil but don't have a single refinery. What sort of disgrace it that. Is this how Nigerians will keep shying away from the fact that they're suffering collectively irrespective of the tribe? This is so shameful, that Nigerians are now shying away from speaking about something they bought as low as 85 naira,, made a mess of the country and it's president. But now it's 1500 and nobody wants to do shi, they all just fine way to justify why they're suffering and attacking one another, forgetting to tackle the main cause of the mess. Nawa, how long can Nigerians really go to endure this garbage thrown at them? |

| Re: Converting my Petrol engine to CNG by dopedealer(m): 12:13pm On May 05 |
Passionate888:yes true .. I learnt that too. which can easily be fixed . I also heard that the plugs ware out faster than usual sometimes instead of a year, it could take 8 months to ask for a change . but once your car is used to the system, everything normalizes |
