So a stray cat gave birth in our house for a while now and we never got to know till today. 3 kittens, 2 mix of black and white and 1 that is completely black 🖤. The kittens are all looking big, fresh and well fed and I can only wonder how their mama did it. We discovered them this morning.

Later while washing the dishes, I heard a noise in the backyard and I went to check. Boom! I saw the mama, sitting on the pile of woods where she hid them, she looked like one of the cats born in our house. She's black with a white line in her face and upper body. We immediately thought it's one of our cats. Their mum was one hell of a weird cat, my dad got tired of her and gave her out. She'll grab her kittens and jump over the fence with them to the other side, then come back home crying and looking for them. sometimes we'll hear them crying on the fence and then pick them, there was a time we found one of her kittens in another compound after her mum misplaced her. This particular stray cat that gave birth looks like one of the kittens she lost, but I'm not sure.

The kittens are aggressive, growling, hissing and spitting when I tried to get them out from under the pile of wood. they are not yet used to humans. I managed to grab one out.

When I took her out, she screamed the hell out! She was terrified to death having never seen a human before

I spotted the other one that is completely black. It's very cute, don't mind the eyes, it's just a reflection of my camera's flashlight. The camera did not do justice to their appearance at all.


As for their mum, knowing she might run away when I get close , at first I tried to go round the house to meet her in the other side, she scampered out anyways, I only saw her tail jumping down the fence to the other side. They're so fast

It's like cats have that bad habit of straying away from their owners home to give birth...


I've noticed it happen many times even though I have never kept cats.


The other time someone was complaining to me the way he noticed his cat's movement he suspected it had given birth somewhere... and he was observing to know where (And there are many places it could have given birth in his compound o)

And boom really we noticed the cat had given birth in the next compound. He had to go take the kittens from the compound and the compound people were almost claiming the kittens as theirs!

We are used to cat dramas. They know how to run over the place and destroy plants, enter plates, bags , destroy curtains etc...

It's one of those cats that came back to birth those new kittens. Cats don't actually leave or get lost

Cats are one of the best hunters ever.

Very stealth, and fast. They feed on birds, lizards, rats etc.

You can make a lot of money from that black kitten, if you can keep it to grow a little bit older, they always command high prices in the market.

Raise them. When they add a little size, sell them. Maybe their mother still breastfeeds them. That is a lot easier on her body than hunting for the whole litter.

Yes cats are over suspicious of even their own owner. To get a cat to give birth in your compound once it gets pregnant stop calling it or playing with it. Continue to give it food without touching it. The cat will feel that you have no alterior moves towards it or it's unborn children. The reason why they give birth in strange areas is because they are scared of predictors taking their newborn. By letting them be when pregnant they feel you will not carry their children off.

Sell them to new homes who love cats and will take good care of them, am a lover of cat, they're wonderful pets.
