IGBOPROMISE1:You're totally missing the point. This guy (an Ibo man) represents a constituency in Lagos, a SW state. He's sending people to South Africa for training with money meant for a constituency project, and 90% of the people on his list are Ibos, like him. Are you saying 90% of the nurses in his constituency are Ibos? |

SuperEagles:Don’t count on our people to have sense. A lot of them have been irreversibly brainwashed with the Obidient thingy. Many of them will look back in future and see how f00!ish they’ve been by being sellouts |

esnbrutality:Can you swear with your life that it was another people that encouraged xenophobia against Igbos. An evil doer flees when nobody chases him. There are also thousands of Yorubas in South Africa. The last time I checked,South Africans are against black Africans. Why do you always play this victim card for God's sake? |

He won't return to that House of Reps, bookmark this post. I am a Nigerian, but a sensible one who understands what right is and what "wrong" is. Oshodi Federal Constituency is 100% Yoruba business and no non-Yoruba has the right to erase or deny Yorubas the benefits meant for the indigenes of that Constituency. Every region has been catered for even though South West is being shortchanged in the scheme of things.. denying Yorubas in Lagos what is meant for Yorubas because of "liberalism" is an anomaly that must never stand. |

loffyloffy:What point am i 'missing' exactly!? The 'guy (an Ibo man', as you prefer to call him, is duly representing his constituency...and doing a danm good job of it if this particular sponsorship is anything to go by! His constituency is in Lagos state....a state built with the resources and efforts of ALL Nigerians, and the fact Lagos is in the SW is just coincidental and tangential, and has no bearing on how he goes about representing his people insofar as his constituents aren't complaining! Lagos state wasn't gonna be located on the moon was it?...It had to be located in a region in Nigeria, and it just so happens that region is the SW! Don't attach more importance to its regional location than is necessary! At best, the significance is just cultural and historical! You've fallen, either knowingly or unbeknownst to you, into the trap of forming a opinion based on a single story or part of a story as narrated by someone who at best is just trying to incite Yoruba against the Rep member because he's Igbo! Have you heard from him to know if this is the first of many other sponsorships, or if he has done some in the past and included non-Igbos'? Does the OP of this thread equally have reports on sponsorships of other Lagos House of Reps members so we can equally judge the fairness of the ethnic spread of beneficiaries?....Or was he just moniroring the Igbo Rep like a monitoring spirit? |
