Exactly my brother!
Some of us don't really know how bad he is. For you to say this means that you can see beyond what the bulabahs can see.
Your father that didnt do everything possible to make you succeed in life is the bad person. Tinubu is a great and VISIONARY LEADER, even Otti identifies with his policies. He sends ONLY mnk to prison and insecurity in the sadeast drops drastically, HOW INTELLIGENT CAN A LEADER BE? Lastly, 31 Governors already in the APC while 3 others support the President's policies. ONLY 2 other governors belong somewhere else even though ONE OF THEM HAS WORKED for the President before.

its clear here that LOSERS HATE WHAT THEY CAN'T BRING DOWN - NAS said it.

east is surrounded by land.the coastal way runs along _Africa boundary, where all southern states are located, which is also the end of africa meeting Atlantic ocean.is it river Niger u want to join to high sea.does he want to dredge the whole river Niger to Mali? When delta say anioma state will give east high sea, we know wetin we dey talk, cos of aboh wey be boundary with river state.
I am going to save this comment. When the project becomes successful, I will be here to remind you of your post.

However, this shows that most of you guys do not have a basic sense of Nigeria's geography, or have never travelled outside your state.
Abia state and Rivers State are literally neighbours. It takes only slightly above 30 mins to travel from Aba to Port-Harcourt, and it is a straight road.
In practical terms, the time you will spend from Ikorodu to Ajah, someone has gone from Port-Harcourt to Aba and then back to Port-Harcourt.
I know people who live in Abia State and work in Rivers State.

Sometimes, it is best to research before you drop comments

The East has no sea. What they would have is a river port.

But Otti, Tinubu's boy, needs something to keep his base excited. grin
You'll just stay under a leaking brown roof and be talking rubbish.

I'm from opobo in rivers State, my mother is from ndoki in Abia. A boat ride from opobo to ndoki via azumini river is not up to 2hrs ride. Anyways I trust Otti, he always make stupid naysayers look more stupid

I can't wait to read the report from the Chinese. Will be interesting.
Azunmiri is in ukwa east lga of abia state. Ukwa East generally is a riverine area. For people saying the whole SE is surrounded by land, it's not true. I've read articles and learned that obeaku is closer to the sea, than some other seaports. Having a seaport there will be fantastic.

the south is part of edge of Africa. Its less than a pole to high sea. Adding abia to high sea means dredging most of those parts of river state that are close to abia, which means towns I'm rivers will be evacuated. In fact, it also means adding abuja to high sea. I know that area. I1 have visited area command of police along Aba road in p/h

That azumiri is just 18 nautical miles to the atlantic ocean closer than even onne port.

Okoroemekah:
This is an emotional project.a waste of funds and definitely a white elephant project.a functioning sea port is less than 50 km away in portharcort and ibeto group an igboman already has a seaport that is functional. Why trying to dredge the imo river to use barges to bring in container.can abia state government maintain continuous dredging of the river that is filled with sharp sand every rainy season ? It is already a failed project. The best thing to do with that funds is to build a reliable train line between abia and rivers state to move goods and people seamlessly
Why not wait first let the experts release their own feasibility report before jumping into conclusions?

We lost everything during colonization, and we lost again post colonization when we focus on foreign instead of building locally.
It will take a lot for Africa to be restored
The problem is we don't KNOW we are the origin of Technology itself.

COLONIALISTS DESTROYED OUR KNOWLEDGE OF WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE ACHIEVED.

If you know you are the ORIGINATOR of technological processes, you will never feel a stranger to technology, calling on outsiders.

Mining of minerals is a Nubian innovation dating back over 5,000 years. In Sudan. Which is also home to 250+ pyramids, built with advanced mathematics and algebra, and aligned with star movements.

The technology of iron smelting - extracting metal from ore using specific heating principles and materials - is the foundation of Modern Technology. Guess where it was invented?

Lejja, Nsukka, South East Nigeria.

The world's oldest smelting site was discovered there and carbon-dated to 2650 BCE.

THAT was the world's Industrial Revolution, not this white propaganda of today that claims industry began with steam engines in UK. All that did was accelerate industry, not start it.

At a site called Igbo-Olokun in Ife, an ancient Glass Factory was discovered dating back over 1,000 years. Western archaeologists were shocked at the evidence of different types and colours and grades of glass being produced AT SCALE, in a thriving economic environment.

DO OUR PEOPLE KNOW THIS?

NOPE.

If you ask them about glass, they will tell you it's Oyinbo people that invented it.

Until we revive our history in its full glory to our people, they will always think like that.

Great submission there.
Beyond taking our natural resources, they stopped sequential process of development; they forced us to farm and mine our resources and took them outside to process. So, we were not able to develop machines, roads, industries as demanded by farming and mining. They keep discovering and developing as resources demanded but they stopped us from thinking because they took everything away. When they released us, the world already developed, we began to operate from development we did not have(take raw materials, export and take finish products later). They stopped from thinking and a nation that can not think can not grow. We need new approach by returning to what we have and start building; we need to build human capital that can build our roads, industries and all. Government must ensure every project is a platform to train our people and not just give them to foreigners. Human capital development is the key ( deconstruct Africa from believing if it not foreign it’s not good, we have got to believe in ourselves and our own)

Gbam! Given our poor maintenance culture along with massive corruption, can the Abia state government maintain the river? Why can can the FG along with the Eastern governors build a fast cargo rail line from PortHarcourt or Calabar port direct to their states. That alone would boost the commercial and industrial development of the whole south east.
You are still here for many years propagating different reasons why ports are not viable in the East and painting 'Objective reasons' (we know they ethnic excuses).

But you supported and celebrated with Buhari was he was building a 'dry port' and setting up naval bases in the desert North..

Your hypocrisy will continue to keep holding you down where you are..

This project is highly feasible. Azumini simply means back of the sea leads directly to the blue sea. My Dad told me they used that route a lot for sea operations during the Biafran war. From there it is also easy to access the Ocean especially towards Calabar down to Cameron.
Why are you so dumped in this country.
