My family shared one pot of soup every day.

But for 3 years, we didn’t share one real conversation.

My dad only gave instructions. I only replied “yes sir.”
My sister cried every night for months… nobody asked why.

Until 2am one night.
She ran home—beaten and broken. Her husband had almost killed her.
She knocked on my door because she had nowhere else to go.

That night, I realized something painful:
We shared food, but not our hearts.
We shared a roof, but not our pain.

My prayer has always been let nothing put asunder between myself and my family members. Most time family issues are due greed, injustice and unfairness. If you are man, if possible, ensure you write your will. ( That’s if you have something to will to your children). As parents, we should learn to treat our children equally and separate sentiment from emotions. We learn to sow the seed of unit always. It's very important.

If I don't talk to my kids within 30mins the whole house will turn upside down because all of them will come out at once and ask Daddy hope all is well due to the bound we shared

Just cause you have a hard time understanding English doesn't make every article you come across as fake.

Somehow I can relate to this. I've actually felt lonely in the midst of family.

It is really sad how low our education has sunk. People read but don't understand. The op never they didn't talk , but rather no communication. There are many families that live like that presently. The father comes home maybe too tired to have meaningful conversations with his children. Most parents now believe raising children now is all about paying bills.
