Several times, I've watched videos where the woman (or man) would describe how they are facing poverty with their children, how they can't even find a place to stay because they can't afford it, yet proceed to have even more kids.

I am a student, I make good money (Nigerian standard), yet I can't imagine caring for 1 child with my finances. However, people who earn less than one tenth of my monthly profit continue to have kids.

What is the mindset behind this?

Poverty is relative and its a mindset thing......an average northerner doesn't see povertyvthe way an average southerner does.......a big family in the northvis a sign of prosperity.

Poor people also want to have something to brag about.

Their mindset is "IF I NOR FIT MAKE MONEY, MAKE I PRODUCE CHILDREN"

i just finished watching an interview on YouTube. the woman being interviewed by vdm is from south west. she spoke about how poverty pushed her into doing what she did, explaining that her husband is also poor and that they along with their children, live at the entrance of a building somewhere. yet, despite their situation, she revealed that she became pregnant for her husband again.

I have four children and I can take care of them and I can't imagine me not having children whether I am poor or rich...but by my own standard,I think I am financially stable based on my earning power.

So,everyone has a choice of both rich or poor to make...the choice is theirs to make.

Cos lack of money causes boredom and na only sex de give poor people joy. Just obs wella, even if the woman de use am insult the man as the only thing wey he sabi as per se “nacking”, yet she always gets pregnant still. A case of one man living in a one room apartment, had 14 children them when we were small. Almost all the daughters were victims of teenage pregnancy except the one the aunt took away. The guys all smoke and drink anything. As a man try get okay before you think marriage, so you don’t teach your kids nonsense early on. How do you get intimate without your kids eavesdropping, when d nacking too much biology is bound to take over your innocent children. Konji no know age, be responsible out there.

It's a survival instinct. They believe that if they have like 15 children, one must make it and take care of them in old age.

Or the mindset one of the children will become very rich and even train others

Some see children as retirement plan.

That's because we don't birth control policy

They can afford to take out their frustrations on their wives in bed at night and have them products sent to another man's house where they will become maids and househelps

Poor men having many children has helped to cut the cost of having househelps in Nigeria

Because they want the wealth of many children ....lols

Seriously, it is because they believe one of those many children may luckily get wealthy, and then come back and share the wealth particularly with the parents.

Its a get rich strategy for poor, lazy, and hopeless men. The typical result: children brought up with little or no love and care enter the society and terrorize it with anger and bitterness. Example: the hightened terrorism in every corner of Nigeria today.

The only recreation of a poor man is sex coupled with the fact that ,unproductivity makes you to have a lot of time to play around with.

No money to buy cxndom talk of contraceptive

They have no access to cinema, no beach and no special outing rather than amusement mummy all times. No money for abortion sef. And the boneless bastard won't stop standing.

Someone said sex is the only enjoyment poor people have

Because they must get busy doing something.
Since they can't make money, they make babies.
And after that, they look for whom to blame for not helping them take care of their children.

Because they believe one of the children will become a governor or president one day.

Mind you, they didn't have plenty children because they were poor. They became poor because they have plenty children. Even the ones I have, sometimes I deprive myself many things because of them

Some rich women go even block their belle

Not a hard question. An idle person will have time to be knacking anyhow and as a result, will procreate uncontrollably

The only pleasure a poor person get is Sex, 0% outings, 0% vacations, 0% fun time with the family 0% everything.
The only outings a poor person know is weddings, burials, family meetings and beer palour meet and greet for men, and Hair making saloon gossips for women.

When I finally get married, I and my hubby will not have more than two kids.

Am not giving birth to many children to sale like a Dog.

It take lot of time, resources, patience, investments, care, love etc to bring up children.
For me I can give two kids all the above or maybe three if it's God's plan

Rich men have access to women than poor men , the difference between them is that one uses birth control and the other doesn't use birth control that's why they have more children and not because they have more sex than a rich man.

Rich men keep plethora if women but non will get pregnant for him except he wants to but the poor man only has his wives but doesn't use contraceptives.

They are being brainwashed in churches owned by rich pastors that god gives children and it will take care of them.

Many factors

Leme me drop a few here

1. Illiteracy

2. 'It is God that gives children' mentality.

3. Most men use sex to cure overthinking which eventually ends in pregnancy.

4. Most parts of Nigeria still see family planning as a taboo.

A lot of poor people go ahead to make plenty of children, believing that it's god that takes care of children.
By time they realised that god doesn't take care of no children, they begin to look for relatives who'll help them take care of the children.

They're always fertile and the cycle continues,when there's no proper plan like family planning.

If you're a man and you're dealing with low Sperm Count, don't remain silent

Poverty, unemployment or unproductivity and high number of offsprings are 5 and 6

Check all developed countries. Their population keeps falling

From japan, South a Korea, United Kingdom etc
